This sportswriter brings up some valid points against both of them.http://trib.me/1aw3t0c
Link not working but Dejan Kovacevic had a article in the Pittsburgh Tribune Review.

My bet? Haley gone, DL gone only if he retires.

    :this!:

... and in keeping with the Steeler tradition of having non-controversial Offensive Coordinators, Tomlin will hire none other than Lane Kiffin.

Watching Kiffin and Big Ben work together should be a real hoot for as long as it lasts, I give it a year tops. LOL :roflmao:

Once again, Tomlin is essentially given a pass on the failures of the team. Why is it that some head coaches have a way of being successful and having the team prepared to play regardless of who the coordinators and assistants are, yet Tomlin's success is totally dependent upon other people?

I love the guy, but LeBeau NEEDS to be gone after this year. His code has been cracked. Time to give Butler a chance and to hope that he adds a few wrinkles to DL's tired schemes.

Haley will probably not survive this. I was a proponent of the Steelers hiring Haley but he probably just doesn't fit with Ben, who needs a docile and submissive OC to be successful apparently. Kirby Wilson. Ugh!

Agree with this. The offense will need to turn things around in a big way for Haley to be here next year.

it's all coming to a head. BA will leave his job in Arizona and be hired by Miami. BA hires haley as OC, we trade pouncey and ben to Miami for a couple of palm tree's for colberts office and a cabana boy that will start at LT for us next year. ben can have mike Wallace there and have the best of good cop bad cop as his coaches. pouncey is reunited with his brother. it's as plain as the nose on your face people?;)

Haley's future is in much more doubt than Lebeau. I wouldn't be surprised if DL retired at the end of the season, but then again I wouldn't have been surprised if he had done for the past couple of years.

But the defense has been holding up relatively well. It's the offense that has been killing us, this season and last. Haley was brought in to fix a number of problems, and so far he just seems to have added to them.

Tomlin will have to have at least one more bad season before the Steelers even think about making a change.
He's got a good record and that's gonna keep him around for a while.

I will agree the offense has been killing this team, it is worse than the defense but the defense is a long way from "holding up relatively well" ! They come out for the first time in a game and if the opposing team doesn't score in its first possession, then they usually chew up 4 minutes of the clock while they march downfield and pin our awful offense back inside the 10 yard line, that is why they are 4th in yards allowed, because they lose the field position battle each and every week. Matt Cassell can't even compete for a 2nd string QB job but against our defense he looked like a pro- bowler, a game in which the offense actually looked good for once. The offense is extremely horrible, penalties, dropped balls, missed blocks which happen with consistency but the defense gets no pass either, they allow decent RBs to look great and great RBs to look like Gods, they let average, mediocre QBs to look like hall of famers week in and week out, and as bad as our offense is, how many times do they get a short field? The only reason the Raiders were held in check was they played conservative ball with a big lead while watching their defense dominate our horrible offense but our defense played a game against a team that had its QB sacked 9 times the game before and I don't care that there wa a bye week involved, a 9 sack performance and against our defense their oline looked to be filled with pro bowlers, this defense shares in the blame, the offense gets 60% and the defense gets at least 40%, they have stunk up the joint, only there have been a few more bright spots with them then there has been with the offense.

To finish Mac's strory ... in 2015 Tomlin and Kiffin will both return to Tampa Bay after Tomlin is replaced here by Cowher, who brings back Whiz as Assistant Coach/OC. Whiz will turn Landry Jones into the next Terry Bradshaw and will replace Cowher as head coach after he retires following 2 additional Super Bowl wins. LOL :lolol:

The article didn't give Tomlin a pass, said he is responsible for a lot of it but that him and Colbert have Rooneys trust, for whatever thats worth, the author incorrectly reported that Ben isn't involved with the scripting of plays so who knows. But, blaming Tomlin and expecting him to be gone after this season are 2 different things, wouldn't hold your breath on that one.

The numbers say they have, they are bad in two stats, TO and Sacks, everything else, near the top. Also, we didn't make Castle look like a pro bowler, no QB we have faced has done exceptionally well, Dalton had the best day against us and was nothing to write home about.

Forget Landry Jones - while we're at bringing back the old guard, Kent Graham will come out of retirement and settle his unfinished business, breaking passing records with his newly acquired weapons, Hines Ward, Plaxico Burress and, erm, Louis Lipps.

That's the point I was trying to make in the post last week about Lebeau I used the wrong word his defense isn't pathetic, like the writer said it doesn't fool anyone anymore. It's time to move on the league has figured out his schemes give Butler a chance.

that's what all these folks that want cowher back would deserve. graham and bubby as his backup. 15 years to win a SB. qb's fall in somewhere between safety and punter as importance.

Bubby at least could move around some, Graham was pretty well "used-up" by the time he landed here and gladly his stay was very short-lived. :lolol:

I don't really want to bring Cowher back, but nothing would please me more than for Whiz work with whoever Ben's replacement eventually is. :smiley1:
