I just check Jared Allen's stats and he only has 4.5 sacks this season. 2.5 came against us. How sad is this? We bring in these high draft picks and they flop like a undrafted free agent.

I'm starting to wonder how they are doing during practice. The way they practice should reflect how they play in a real games. Tomlin better get them practicing longer hours and identify those area in need. If they are practicing well, it should reflect on game day.

Very disappointed by the coaching staff including Tomlin.

CBA limits the amount of days and time you can practice. I'm not even sure if you can practice with pads anymore lol

Again how many of these guys have a ton of experience. Adams moved to a new position this year. Pouncey hurt first game. DeCastro seeing his first meaningful minutes. Gilbert hasn't been healthy for a full season. And Foster is in his 2nd year at guard. There is going to be growing pains. Add in the fact they are on at least their 2nd OL coach in two years. They went from a man up scheme to a zone scheme. There is going to be time for players to learn that. In addition it seems we can't stay healthy long enough to build any consistency. My frustration is more around the fact we are a revolving door in terms of injuries at the OL than the execution because it is tough to play well as a unit when you have 5 new guys each week. That makes it tougher for each guy to just worry about doing their job. They are trying to do more than what they should because they don't trust the guy next to them to do their job. And when one guy on the OL does not do his job or trust the guy next to him to get it done the entire line fails. And that is what you are seeing so far this year.

Yep, there has absolutely been no consistency on this line for years now, always a revolving door of players. I think Adams, DD and Gilbert can al still be good, Gilbert has been grading out better then anyone lately. Velesco was a good pickup and Pouncey will be back next year. I'm still hopeful Embernate will be a good one too. The line just needs to stay healthy for a change.

Even when healthy Adams and Gilbert are both revolving doors and not worthy of a second rounder. Worse than that I don't see anything there that they will get better with time. Too slow footed, not very athletic and very soft. I don't see anything good about these guys with the exception that they are big.

Please tell me what you see thats positive with these guys.:facepalm:

Thats your opinion, but guys develop differently when getting to the NFL, you don't give up on a 2nd rounder in his second season, that's dumb, especially after what Adams has been through with injuries and being stabbed. And like I said, Gilbert has been grading out well.

These guys are going to be good, they are just going to need some time. If you plug any one of these guys in on an established line they look like Rock Stars.

I think the failure is not with Adams and Gilbert but with drafting them in the second round. Especially Adams. For a second round pick you should know something more than Adams is showing. His footwork is terrible, his technique is horrible and for someone that came from a big ten college and a good program we shouldn't be teaching him footwork or technique issues. Or at least not to the extend we need to.

We need to strip him of everything he knows and build him back up again and that will take at least two more years. And if it does, he should of never be selected in the second round of the draft.

What is sad that no one in the organization didn't see before this year that Mike Adams was not ready to be a left tackle. They should of seen this during OTAs, Mini-camp, Camp, and preseason. Heck, they should of seen it last year even though it was his first year.

I'm not an expert, but I seen that he was not ready for that responsibility.
