AB really pissed me off during this game.

Indeed. This is the other question. If we "assume" that Colbert really knows what he is doing, then we might project that these really are good players who aren't being developed. I have made this point in other threads but not here. Thank you for clarifying that.

Which is this: Do you think the last seven first-round selections are of the same quality as the previous seven? If you think it's too early to tell, then so be it. But I think there is a marked difference between Mendenhall, Hood, and Heyward and Troy, Casey, and Heath. And that line of demarcation is the hiring of Tomlin. That's the point I am trying to make. But again, if you think the jury's still out on Hood, Heyward, and Jones, I respect your "wait and see" approach. Troy looked like a "bust" early on, too.

I'm not happy with Sanders and Brown's play this year. Yeah they make a few nice looking grabs.

But it seems when 3rd down comes around they don't come up with the grabs that they should to move the chains.

The Steelers won the turnover battle 3:2. And they still lost.

We lost the same way we lost, last year: a turnover that was largely Brown's fault.

And this O-Line is going to get somebody hurt... oh wait...

Me too. He frustrates me because he'll make some spectacular catches and the drop some right between the numbers. Guys at work who have him on their fantasy team are always singing their praises and not understanding that we are 2-5. I don't care about guys individual numbers. I care about the collective performance of the TEAM and we aren't playing good as a team. I DO think we made the right decision on letting Wallace go in favor of him but I DON'T know if we are paying him the right amount.

MAN, hope all goes well Thigpen. I thought i had it rough. But on another note i found some time to up the booze so I think there's still hope for a wild card and ring but I've had a growler of Double Arrogant Bastard by Stone so it's expected.

As much as I'd love the run and would enjoy the ring...that would only serve to say "See we knew what we were doing!" and continue on kicking the bucket along.

Drafting 32nd, still having cap issues and setting us up for a bigger fall.

Gee, what happened? I missed the game due to a wedding in Jacksonville. You think the Steelers stink (and they do), try watching the Jags.

Other than that, what is soooooo alarming here?

I am one of the few who have beaten the drum on the Steelers demise while many in here clearly have ignored the problems and now are surprised that my prediction of a top 5 pick just might happen. Oh wait, it might be the second pick in the draft since it appears they are moving up.

I am also sure many in here are reaching for a towel-ette instead of the ahem, "Terrible" and we do mean terrible, Towel.

I did manage to DVR the game and managed to fast forward thru much of the first half before hitting <delete>, only it would no let me delete this sorry excuse for a team.

I know there have been some rough spots over the last 40 years, but this team is the worse Steeler team I can recall since 1968. They are plain awful and there is absolutely no hope in turning it around with this bunch of misfits. A major purge is needed and they can start with Tomlin as crap rolls downhill.

Cheer up though as it appears Steeler Nation as well as Brown spot nation will be bedfellows over the holidays as their will be nothing to play for. Remember to be a cheerful giver this holiday season.

Of the first one, Brown said, “I made the catch. I got a little lax on the tuck, the guy came in late and made a great hit and got it out of there.”

Of the second one, originally ruled a fumble but then changed for the time being to an interception, Brown explained, “The one they called a fumble, I thought I was down. I had my knee down. The guy came in late and punched the ball out. I thought it was a weird call, but I gotta do a better job securing the ball.”

AB really gets to me with his excuses, he just plane dropped both balls but he has to come up with his version of why he messed up. On both plays he comes up with "the guy came in late", boloney I saw both plays and the hit wasn't late.

Cheers fella, she's just out of hospital now and things slowly getting back in shape.

Which is more than can be said for this team...
