I was thinking that last night as I was driving to the store. That history lesson time should have been clock management and Terrelle Pryor tape time.

LOL! But I bet they would've been ready for a ghost to the post or a Holy Roller or a Sea of Hands! HA!

I hate the late games because I miss out on the thread. I love the thread because misery loves company. I just ignore the over the top stuff.

Wouldn't have made any difference since they don't concern themselves with what other teams do. They live in the now.

He has said in a post game press conference when asked if they are going to change something becuase of the opponent or if they saw something on tape. His response is always about how they aren't concerned about what other teams do they are concerned about the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Edit: I should add that the only time they broke from the plan was the Pats game in 2011. There the defense schemed to stop Brady instead of the regular 3-4 zone blitz they do for every team.

And we looked like a great team in that game. I really consider that game the highlight of BA's time here. Our d was playing great in that game too but then Woodley got hurt again didn't he?

I was at the Ravens game. We traveled over 400 miles to get to the game and I was 2nd guessing myself the whole way. I dreaded the long drive home after a loss and watching a Steeler team that just didnt care.

I was wrong. I didnt see any of that and for the 1st time in quite a while, they appeared to be having fun. The crowd seemed to get into as the game went on. There were guys playing that I didnt know and doing a heck of a job. They are dangerous when we have no big names and having fun combined. Troy seemed to thrive off it and was all over the place.

That team must ve stayed in the 'burgh bc thats not the team that was in Oakland.

They been trying to 'rebuild' the OL since what, 2008? The defense is not the problem. When your defense keeps teams below 20 pts on avg, youre not suppose to lose many games. We cant score in the red zone. Tired of hearing about big receivers, still cant score with the ones we have.

I like Mike T, but it starts with him. What we are doing is not working.

Exactly, and most of it isnt over the top. Its not like we are kicking ass and everyone on the game day thread is complaining. We are complaining because our team is unprepared week after week and its frustrating. Im not sure what we are supposed to talk about on the message board? The comments on here reflect the state of our team. I mean I guess we could have a rah rah thread to try to even it out but, for the most part, these threads are just frustrated fans trying to figure out what it wrong with our team.

The gameday threads are different, though.

I dont participate in the game day threads but I read through the one from last Sunday vs the Raiders. I didnt really notice alot of people being overly negative - maybe one or two - but I did notice several people calling out any negative posts.

It's more than being overly negative, it's flat out thread crapping. It's cumulative, but it's probably one of those things that's easier to see in real time and on a weekly basis.

In retrospect though, I know what you mean and you're right.
