I feel your pain dude. I was just forced to get a touch screen and I hate that stupid thing because I like to be really precise in my spelling and that thing constantly makes me push letters I don't mean to. I don't know if you ever get used to them. At least I don't know if I will ever get used to it I guess is a better way to put it.

Eazy Rider came out when I was either a Junior or Senior in HS. Anyway, rather than studing for an English Final Exam (which I actually did quite well on), I went to it's opening the night before instead.

OK. Are we supposed to guess how? Which part? That Colbert got things right from 2000 to 2006? Or that he hasn't gotten things so right from 2007 to 2013? Or am I wrong? Are you trying to suggest that Hood, Heyward, Mendenhall, and Jones are better picks than Heath, Ben, Santonio, and Troy.

    Two questions.

1.) Are the odds long enough that now you think about sitting Ben just to keep him safe and look to next year and having a shot?

2.) Which former lineman now unemployed gets a call to come in for a physical anf workout? Starks? That Local boy made good, guy that got cut in camp. He was taking snaps st center.

Well, I'm sick of injuries? That's what is our main issue. 3 starters gone from any NFL O line is a lot to overcome. That's the beginning, and the answer to 90% of the complaints on this topic.

The Raiders were missing three linemen today, and we only registered two sacks. Oh yea they also ran over us in the first half. They also won the game.

Obviously, there will be varying degrees there. From good to very good to great to future HOFer. Of course. My point wasn't to get into those categories. I was merely pointing out which picks were good, which weren't. So now we can move on to the original point...

The booze is starting to wear off now as the flu comes raging back with hot wings riding a bi-polar unicorn swinging a serrano chili singing folk classics by Sinatra in Spanish with a lisp. I survived watching that game is gonna have to be what I take away from today.

    My complaint:

I still can't drink, so the day was off to a bad start from the get go.

Putting together a new desk. Made somewhere on the other side of the globe. A zillion pieces. Half of them that are supposed to have pre-drilled holes do not. Some that do have the holes in the wrong place. Nothing lines up right. And my own drill decides today is a good day to stop working. :frustrated: What was supposed to take 2 hours takes all friggin day. My voice is shot and my throat raw. And it has nothing to do with screaming at the game...

Maybe that's a good thing. The game was only a minor nuisance by comparison. But in the end, I DID muscle the desk together properly. The team still sucks the sweat off a hobo's sack.

    What a ****ty weekend.

Wife rushed to hospital on Friday night. Still there. Not sure when she's out. This leaves me with our 10-month old, and for one reason or another about a million things to do, on top of regular visits to the ward, and the inevitable "helpful" in-laws under my feet.

Now coming down with a cold. 10-month old understandably stressed out.

So all I really wanted out of last night, with both stressed-out baby and wife safely asleep, was 3 hours to catch breath, unwind and watch the steelers beat a much inferior opponent.

    FFS.

If seems we have no plays for the red zone or even in the end zone. Broncos make it look so easy. They run picks and rubs and guys are wide open. Even the back out of the backfield we don't use. I would like to see what plays we have for red zone and then toss them in the trash.

    Answer #1 ...
If Ben is still ok physically, I'd say play him until we get 2 more losses and then look to start resting him some after that.

    Answer #2 ...
I'd go with the local boy ... what was his name ... Molecki (or something like that). At least he won't be fresh off some other team's IR.

Okay, while I don't agree with some of your bust proclamations above I do think you make a good point and there is reason to be concerned here. I don't necessarily think we've drafted the wrong players, however. My theory, such as it is, is that we are drafting pretty good talent but we are NOT COACHING THEM UP to the next level. We've turned two plug and play, pro ready players the last two years in DeCastro and Jones into average talent. I still have high hopes for both of these players, and many other first and second rounders over the last several years, but I am starting to have serious doubts about who the Rooneys are allowing to captain the Black & Gold ship.

Tomlin has literally let Ben play on one leg so I think there's no way they sit him to have him ready for the next season in the middle of this season.

Well since I disagree with your evaluation of who is a bust, I'd say that's pretty significant to the point you're making.

Well, to be honest, this loss doesnt necessarily surprise me. For whatever reason, we just cant beat the Raiders. Having said that, my complaints go something like this:

Starting off the game giving up the longest run by a QB in NFL history kind of takes the wind out of any teams sails, even a strong team - which we are not.

The game plan against the Ravens had imagination- the game plan vs the Raiders was boring, typical, predictable, and ridiculous.

The time management of this offense is embarrassing. How Ben doesnt blow a complete gasket when he gets to the sidelines is beyond me.

AB- he hardly ever tries to return a punt....in this game, when we actually have a chance, he fields the ball at like the 5 and goes freaking BACKWARDS. Why didnt he let it bounce through the endzone?? Of course, then we got a penalty and started on the one.

Suisham missed two makeable FG's but I cant be mad at him. Obviously if he makes them, its a different game. Just bad timing to have a bad game. It happens.

More injuries to an already weak OL. This team just cant catch a break.

I was saying the exact same thing about AB! In THAT situation to take the ball and run BACKWARDS when you are already in your own end I was really hot about that! That's why I've been saying that we have some really stupid football players on our team. Stuff like that is just inexcusably dumb. He has done it multiple times too.
