Jj is a bust unfortunately, better on the inside than out. Did you see McFadden block him? Need someone with more power, speed.

His excuse: We were waiting for a game clock pump up on a horse collar they thought happened.

WHAT?! You're not getting the play in and getting set up to run a play, because you're wondering where your extra time is on a penalty that wasn't called?

Unprofessional! Doesn't matter what was called or not! The coach can take that up with the league after the game.

Well I think that Worilds, right now, provides the type of physical play that we need, although I think both Worilds and Woodley are too slow to both play OLB. Harrison could cover pretty well and was a better pass rusher than anybody we currently have on the team. Time will tell if JJ can fill that role, but he obviously isn't filling it RIGHT NOW.

He's taking the easy route too often. Everytime he jumps inside they take it outside of him.

Did Colbert suddenly get stupid? Here are the Steelers last seven number ones:
    07: Timmons. OK.
    08: Mendenhall. Bust.
    09: Hood. Bust.
10: Pouncy. Good, but injury prone.
    11: Heyward. Bust.
    12: DeCastro. Bust.
    13: Jones. Bust?

Here are Colbert's seven prior drafts, his last seven with Cowher:
    06: Holmes. Good.
    05: Miller. Good.
    04: Ben. Good.
    03: Polamalu. Good.
    02: Simmons. fair.
    01: Hampton. Good.
    00: Burress. Good.

Notice: Seven straight great first-round selections, followed by seven inconsistent selections. So, has Colbert really become dumb? Of course not. So what's the matter? Think about that one.

I am not one of the fair weather fans who naturally think that DeCastro is the next Faneca (both are white?), but I wouldn't label him a bust yet. I do wish he was a LG though, and they moved Foster to RG...Foster played well at RG over the past few years (though he isn't playing too bad at LG).

Wayyyy to early to call JJ a bust.

I still think that Mendenhall would have been the best back on the team this year, including Bell.

Pouncey, I would rate as "fair". I think he is overrated to a degree, and surely not worth the $10 million a year he will demand in his next contract. (Velasco all the way)

A few weeks ago on the post game show on WDVE an angry caller called in to complain about how Colbert seems to get a pass and named a lot of guys that haven't worked out and Tom said "well it's not Colbert. He gets to his office earlier than everyone else." I think when I heard that statement I must have looked like a cartoon character when they turn blood red. The reason it made me so mad is because there are TONS of guys in the NFL that get to their office early. He just gave him a total pass. That being said though, I think drafting in today's league is a total crap shoot and luck is just as important as skill. The Pats draft a lot of guys that don't work out too. I just think this glares more to us because we ONLY build through the draft and don't use free agency and we seem to consistently lack depth where other teams don't. Some teams like the Packers, 9ers, Hawks, and Pats just seem to have an endless roster. We don't.

Colbert and Cowher built a great team through the draft. The Colbert/Tomlin team can't build squat. So what is the problem? I m saying that it can't possibly be Colbert, all on his own.

I got the point you were trying to make loud and clear, the problem is that you're stacking the deck to bolster your argument.

That is actually the most ridiculous comment i have seen on this board. Do u realize how bad tgis ciaching staff and offense are??? I mean really. Top 5 worst in the NFL. Suisham missed some gimmies but it didn't matter. He isn't even close to the problem. What a hoke this team is.

Yes, from phone. Apologies for not checking before I hit 'done'. My bad. Just frustrated with this garbage team and all the lack of any real improvement. Coaching and talent r a big, big problem. Cannot be denied.
