I don't like to post here because of the backlash, but here goes....

We are in for a drought if this continues, the reason I say this is because the Rooneys aren't knee-jerk reaction owners. We had some lean years with Coach Cower and they didn't get rid of him. Now it can be said that Coach Tomlin took our Steelers to two Superbowls, winning one. It could also be said that at least one was a team built by Cower. Not saying they were, just saying it for arguments sake. So I really don't think the Rooneys will be getting rid of Tomlin anytime soon.

As far as the OC and DC goes, LeBeau is on his way out and he knows it. Maybe not now, but soon. Our Defense is getting way to predictable. Or maybe not, maybe we just don't have the players for the scheme.
I was not a fan of firing Arians. I liked him. Was he the best OC, no. But he got us where we wanted to be. Haley is causing to much drama within the organization, the Rooneys don't like that kind of press. But can the Rooneys find someone better? I think so, but who knows?

As far as the players go, some are overpaid, some are whiny babies, some are just not good enough to play on this team. Should we just blow it up and start over? Knowing this organization, it's not going to happen. We will continue to do things the way they have always been done, and we'll be on top of the mountain again.

But for right now, it's a giant s**t sandwhich, and we're all going to have to take a bite. Just keep plugging along as a Steelers fan and keep the faith.

If that's the case, I'm thankful for our latest SB victories and some amazing individual plays over this recent run.

Not trying to be a wiseguy, but I can't really tell what the point of your post is. Do you think we're in for a drought?

Win Lose or Tie Steeler fan till I die! I know enough about the Steelers to know that any kind of slump won't be long term. And even if it was long term what the heck am I going to do about it. I know my role and that's to support my team. One thing for sure, my yard work will always wait till after the game is over no matter what the score is.

TTF, yeah, I think we're in for a drought. To many things going on with the organization right now. Salary cap, OC, DC, HC, etc, etc. There is a lot of crap the Rooneys have to wash through to get us back on track. As for me, I'll patiently wait. I have faith, I always have.

On the positive side, they've (so far) done really well with this draft. They're getting positive contributions from a lot of rookies.

The Bus is right, there is talent here, quite a bit but its going to take a couple years for it to fully develop. Right now we are getting glimpse with inconsistent play and rookie mistakes and a bad oline to go with it.

Jarvis Jones has 19 tackles and no sacks. Vince Williams has 27 tackles and no sacks. Shamarko has been playing back-up. Wheaton has been hurt and Bell has been hurt. I guess they could be doing OK but overall, I don't see it.

I think we need Wheaton back ASAP and I would have him at 3rd, with Cotch at 2nd immediately. I would have Sanders at 4 or deal him away for a pick (but that wont happen of course). I think Wheaton might be able to provide the field stretching capabilities that we need to maybe cause defenses to drop some defenders back and take pressure off of Ben. There are a lot of its there though, especially since we have seen very little from Wheaton so far.

Bell is ok, but his offensive line is offensive.

The linebackers will get better. I think Williams is playing at a higher level than JJ atm, but neither are playing that well.

Shamarko? I barely notice when he is in. Well honestly, Troy and Gay are the only ones in the secondary that I notice doing anything positive really.

Sanders won't be traded because he's gone after this season. I would've really liked to have sent him to New England in hindsight. I think Sanders is a journeyman at best. I think we all had unrealistic expectations for him.

There will be a drought because the current Colbert/Tomlin team can't get enough value in the draft. Either that, or these guys (Hood, Heyward, Decastro, etc.) are good, just not being developed. Either way, what Tomlin is doing to this team is terrifying.

OH! LOL!!!!! I was like "is he blaming Bill Cowher or is he saying Bill Cowher wouldn't be in this position???" I was so confused and in my current vulnerable state this is not good for me.

BA was a good 'x' and 'o' guy but not as good on game day. TH is just clueless all the way around. If any defense is fooled by what play we are running by our 3rd down and ?? yard, shot gun, no back in the back field setup...Heck a 8 yr old flag football defense could figure out what was going to happen.

The Rooneys may not be a knee jerk reaction group but they better have some kind of reaction. Not making the playoffs cost them money.

Well they are rookies in what is considered one of the hardest playbooks to pick up. That said whats our olines excuse. I think they are talented but I take Jeff Hartings over any one of them right now
