What exactly could Ben have done differently today to change the outcome?

Obviously if Suisham makes those gimmies it a different game, so you can fault him. But he had a bad game, what can you do? He just picked a bad time to do it.

Did Jarvis Jones even play today? I'll bet for Halloween he's going as the Invisible Man. I thought he was a plug and play pro ready linebacker coming from the SEC. Yeah right!

Antonio brown. One ball dropped in the gut at a crucial point in the game another drop resulting in an int.... That's what killed us in the end. Sorry a brown, i think you are capable of great things, but today you sucked a$$.

I second this and mentioned this during another game. We don't have that dominating defense anymore and need the ball first so maybe we can score. We are not built to come back after being down.

He had some pressure early on, but they pulled him out after McFadden blew around him for big run early on. I'm not sure how many total snaps he saw.

He was making rookie mistakes. Not holding the edge was crucial against a running quarterback.

I don't know what it is about traveling to the west coast but we suck every time we go out to Oakland. Maybe we should go out there earlier than we do.

Stay home, forfeit, and take an extra bye.

Shoot. They went to Europe the day before the game. I'm surprised Mike didn't fly them out on the red eye this morning.

I don't even know. They sit there and give up 14 points to the $%#^&@& Raiders in the first quarter! No fire and no urgency on offense until mid Fourth quarter.

I mean come on 9+ minute drives are great when you're up or at least within striking distance! Not when you're down by 18!

Do they even have any passing plays in the redzone that are designed to go past the LOS? What about into the endzone?

Hell I would still be upset if they had won this game! They shouldn't need to score 3 times in the Fourth to beat a team like the Raiders!

    Since the merger:

    at Oakland/La Raiders: 5-10
    at LA Rams: 0-4
    at San Diego: 7-6
    at Seattle: 1-6
    at Phoenix/Arizona: 2-3

    overall: 15-29

Curious, do you also happen to have Denver and KC's numbers handy (thanks in advance)?

If Suisham hits his FG, maybe we don't get the gift TO and our impressive 11 yd TD drive. Or maybe Oakland doesn't soften their D with a big lead late. We dug ourselves a 21-3 hole, the FG kicker had little to do with the outcome of the game

    at denver: 5-11-1
    at KC: 10-6

BTW: Kansas City is in the central time zone; Denver is in the Mountain time zone. Looking at the previous post and this one, we can conclude that the Steelers are simply God awful in the mountain and pacific time zones because...well, because they are.

That is a a good idea, totally agree. Tomlin shouldn't be arrogant to think this is the Steelers of old.

I'm sick and tired of this team and I'm sick and tired of excuses. We are pathetically coached. We are pathetically prepared. We are pathetically staffed. We are pathetically unaware of the situation we are faced with. I'm sick of watching AB make good catches when it really doesn't matter only to drop them when it really does. I'm sick and tired of watching the complete LACK of chemistry that Sanders has with Ben. I'm sick of watching offensive linemen give up sack after sack after sack and pressure after pressure after pressure. I'm sick of watching a screen play about 85% of the time. I'm sick of watching us get in 3rd and long time and time again because of stupid play calls on 1st and 2nd. I'm sick of our offense basically being the other team's defense by not doing ANYthing to put points on the board. I'm sick of watching AB catch punts and run backwards ESPECIALLY in a situation when we need every single yard. We just have stupid football players. I mean REALLY stupid football players. If Tomlin was half the coach he oughtta be he would flat out tell Ben that he BETTER throw it away. Next week our team is gonna get a butt kicking that they absolutely deserve because they're gonna see what a REAL team looks like when they face a coach that CAN prepare his team against all odds. We're gonna see an offense that can play as a team and a staff that can manage the clock. It's what we deserve. Ben and Tomlin and Haley and Colbert need to just stand there and watch.
