We all had guys we were high on to start the season and hoping they'd make a big impact, who's yours?

I'm going with Wheaton and Will Johnson. I thought both these guys would have been making more of a contribution. Wheaton has barely played and have no idea what is going on with Will J.

If Bell hadn't started playing he'd have topped my list but I can tell from his last 2 games he will be just what I hoped for.

*disclaimer* I'm not blaming either guy or implying they are a bust, this thread is just about who you were hoping big things from this year.

Anybody on or affiliated with the offensive line. I was counting on some improvement this year and there is none.

I beg to differ ..my meter has shown spikes from week1 and the offense looked pretty good last week on the rats! as to the Q I would have to say Wheaton!

Right, can't throw a blanket on the whole o-line. It seems like once DeCastro put the Pouncey injury behind him, he's been playing more and more like the number one pick that he was. There have been other bright spots as well.

It's too early in the season for me to be let down by any one player.

Probably Cortez Allen. I thought he might take Ike for the 1 spot by the end of the year, and instead he is in danger of losing the #2 to William Gay. Completely in the opposite direction of what I thought. I know he was hurt for a little while, so I guess the verdict is still out. However to this point he is definitely the most disappointing for me. Ryan Clark is another. He has been a very consistently good player for years, and has stunk the joint up horribly this year.

On a brighter note, the biggest surprises for me this year are Gay and V. Williams. I think Gay has done a tremendous job, despite being the most disrespected player on this board. With Williams I never thought he'd play this year, but so far hes exceeded my expectations. He played horribly in his first two games, but has gotten a lot better and actually played two really nice games the past two weeks.

Just curious to your reasons why Bell is your most disappointing player so far... Not enough time on the field cuz of the injury? Or did you just think that he was gonna tear it up immediately? Hard to see the logic in this, so I figured I'd ask.

Interesting call on Will Johnson. I'm not sure if it's his production, or if (once again) he's simply not being used enough. Todd Haley has said he's the most underrated player on the offense, but seems insistent on keeping him that way...

I have to say Mike Adams as well. Was so high (no pun intended...ok maybe it was) on him after he fell to us in RD2. My thoughts at the time.."DeCastro ,Adams and Pouncy our line is set for years.

Seriously? I think Bell looks great. I would say Cortez Allen. MAYBE it's just because he's not been fully healthy but he's had a lot of guys get behind him and away from him and I'm dying for a beast corner so I'm the most let down by him.

well 184 yards after 6 games is not what i would consider good

also hes 27th in yards per attempt

not what I would call good either

I don't think you are answering this in the spirit of the question. With your love affair for the passing game, I find it hard to believe that you were most excited about Bell going into the season, you hate the ground game. Seems like you are just taking a shot at Bell, especially with how you are using those stats, 6 games, really? Pretty obvious to me the guys got skills and will be a good one.

But you and everyone else havent felt a little bit let down with him only playing just a few games?
that was my real point....the injury

Is Julio Jones a disappointment because he's going to miss most of the season? Injuries happen to 99% of players throughout their football career, and injuries also happen quite frequently to rookies. I don't see how you can say he's been a big disappointment because he's dealt with an injury, something he hasn't done a lot of throughout his football career.

I would have been disappointed had he not played at all yet but his last 2 game has showed me he is going to be the back I think he can be.
