This doesn't surprise me at all. I think Dwyer has been playing with some fire and Bell is really looking like the real deal and Jones has been getting positive yards so it really makes this a no brainer. I wonder if they bring him back a little later or if we've seen the absolute last of him?

    My sentiments exactly!
Not sure that Dwyer is better than him, or vice-versa... pretty much the same skill set.
Dwyer MIGHT have more "outside speed", Red MIGHT have more "inside strength"... but, overall, 2 very similar backs, and I don`t really see a need to keep em both, even tho I like em both, and if we didn`t have better options, I`m not convinced that they couldn`t do better than they did last year.
The entire offense was a mess the second half of last year, and the beginning of this one.
For that matter, they are still struggling, but at least they are finally showing signs of improvement.
    GO STEELERS!!!

Redman may likely end up being remembered as one of many that helped pioneer the use of lie detector machines in concussion testing.

Oh. I thought that sounded pretty crazy but I guess I wouldn't be too surprised. I'm sure Redman is desperate for a job and I'm sure a LOT of players DO fake it when they have concussions.

    I honestly don't know, I doubt it.
I'd like to know what exactly the CBA does and doesn't permit when it comes to player physicals. Are new unlimited MRI's of prior injuries permitted ??

I'm surprised Redman lasted this long we have 3 backs better than him. He sealed his fate when he went to the media and lied about his concussion.

If they are, we sure didn`t take advantage of them in regards to Levi Brown, and the Tight end/reciever(Gordon, maybe?) we signed, with a knee injury...
as is, I think all players have to pass a "baseline test", and match their "pre-concussion" answers, reaction time, balance, performance, etc., before being cleared to play, "post-concussion"...
Geee, ya don`t think players would "sandbag" on their "pre-concussion" test, to make it easier to pass, "post" concussion, do ya???:hmmm:
Or am I giving them too much credit?
    Personally, I`m old school.
If the player wants to put their health at risk for the almighty dollar... LET THEM!
    It`s THEIR life, right?
No one says they HAVE to play this sport, or get back in the game if they are hurt, right?
If they CHOOSE to..... Why shouldn`t they be allowed???
Oh yeah... Legalities, lawsuits, lawyers, and all the rest of the things that conspire to take away freedom of choice, in the "land of the free, and the home of the brave!!!"....:flag:
Ok. Done, now, I will self-censor, to prevent a political debate, but Dammit, if they wanna play, why should the league stop them?!?:rules::butcher::herewego::yeehaw:

I think you better toe the company line when playing for the PGH Steelers, why he ever spoke out (concussion) sealed his fate.He will catch on with another team, but he has to get back to what got him into the NFL.BIG MOTOR!

I am o.k. and life goes on..I wished we could get back to that old style and ram the ball down peoples throat...IMO Redman can excell in that type of system....It is clear that is not our style and Redman simply didn't fit in our plans moving forward....

I hope he gets another shot somewhere if not he still came a long way from Bowie State to make the best Team in the NFL,no one can ever take that away from him....

Our defensive calls are pretty easy really for the qb to understand. They go a little something like this : "Find the opposing corner and come back 5 yards to find my receiver." LOL!
