Nice little win streak we got today, lets hope to continue @ Oakland next week! They have had our number the past few times we have played them.

Next week is HUGE for this team.

First, if we win next week, we will officially TIE the Ravens in the standings, but of course winning the head to head matchup, we would no longer be the basement team in the AFC North.

Second, with Cleveland playing @Kansas City, if they lose we would move to a 1/2 game ahead of them will less losses. Basically, we would move into 2nd in our division. I know, it doesn't seem possible, but that is reality.

Third, we are currently 2 games back in the loss column to the Bengals, but we CAN do this still. I truly believe that.

Fourth, at the moment, we are 2 games back in the win column, but only 1 game back in the loss column to the final wild card team. Yep, win next week and we move to 3-4 while the Chargers will be 4-3. We will be in a LARGE group of teams who are fighting for the wildcard spot. Really, could a wild card spot STILL be an option for this team. IMO, yes....it is there for the taking, what once was thought completely out of reach.

All of this being said....a win at Oakland is a MUST win. They are coming off a bye week, so we can only hope we travel well for a change to Oakland.

Nice job of putting it all in perspective. Every game from here on out is HUGE. I said the other day that the Steelers still have their destiny in their own hands. Let's keep stacking wins and see what happens.

The Raiders have been bad recently but the Steelers seem to struggle against them for some reason.

Lebeau has a good track record again rookie quarterbacks. If we let Terrell Pryor beat us we are in a sad state.

Pryor is technically a 3rd year pro but is still pretty much a rookie. His back-up is rookie Matt McGloin from Penn State. LeBeau should be able to handle them, hopefully. I'm just glad Gradkowski is on our sideline for the game. He killed us in 2009.

All we have to do to win, besides not committing turnovers, is have one guy, like Troy tail Richard Pryor where ever he goes and not let him run on us. Make him pass. This is a game we should win and if Ben plays with the confidence he has shown the last two games we will win!

I watched Pryor at Ohio State every weekend for 3 seasons, and I can tell you that if he gets outside he will kill us with his legs! He is capable of putting up big yardage on the ground. The Raiders may be bad, but Pryor is the X factor.

Some highlights of the schedule for our divisional challengers over the next 4 weeks:

Cleveland: Honestly, I don't see them winning another game before our matchup with them. They go @KC, Baltimore, Bye Week, @Cincy. Now if we hope anything happens it should be that the bye week gets them lined up to beat Cincy again. Their one victory against the Bengals could help us potentially catch them for the Bengals for the division.

Baltimore: They go this way. Bye Week, @Cleveland, Cincy, @Chicago. The real question here right now about this schedule is when does Cutler return to the Bears. On the road, the Ravens are currently 1-3. We need the Bears or Cleveland to beat them.

Cincy: Jets, @Miami, @Balt, Cleveland. It would be nice to see Geno go on the road and win, but I think they will be too much for the Jets. Miami I think is a trap game. Huge division rival game the next week, but also a Thursday night game after a physical matchup with the Jets. Don't be surprised if the Bengals go 2-2 over the course of the next 4. After the next 5 weeks, when the Bengals hit their Bye, we should know our chances of actually competing for the division or not.

Both the Jets & Chargers are currently 4-3. We are 2 games back in any "wild card" talk. Glad to see a win, but one game at a time. Until we start playing better, there should be no playoff talk.

I'm not counting on Cincy losing 2 games, they may lose 1 but can't even say that with confidence, they keep beating teams I thought they'd lose to. They actually very much remind me of the Ravens last year the way they keep pulling out games. I'm not even going to try and figure out what other teams have to do anymore, just take care of our own business, get to 10 wins at least to have a chance.

I agree. It used to be you could always count on the Bengals being the Bungles. Two playoff appearances in a row and a good start this year make me think they've turned a corner. I think we may be playing for the last wild card spot which is about the best you should expect after an 0-4 start.

unfortunately the Bengals keep winning the close games. they are playing like the Pats are this year. they dont look real good, but when you look at the standings they are in first place in their division.

the Steelers dug themselves a huge hole and now they will need some help from other teams. i know theres still a ton of football to be played, but they have a lot of teams a head of them that they need to catch.
