So how many Revis caliber CB's are in the NFL today? Less then 5, if that. Out of the hundreds of CB's that play in college and less then 200 CB's that play in the NFL every season, less then 5 Revis caliber CB's may exists in the entire US. So good luck finding one. And if you are fortunate enough to have a Revis caliber CB it's going to cost a lot of money to keep him.

What the is your problem if the defense was great? Teams can't have it "all" at every position. The talent the Steelers had at CB was good enough to win a lot of games and SB's. If you can't understand the overall picture then I don't know if you ever will.

both the teams had 2 high first picks in 2010
really want to have a season so bad we could end up with 2 picks in the top 15?

We are on the same side so I won't fight with you, but in my original post I said dating back to the 90's. Over the past ten years and beyond you can't tell me that there was not at least ONE CB draft pick that could actually ball hawk, and be a Pro Bowl CB that we had a chance to pick. That's a lot of CBs drafted, and not once did we take a lock down, blanket cover guy. Yes, our D system is different but you can't tell me this team never needed a stub CB. Yes I know all about the success, but I'm just saying we have missed on hundreds of possibilities, and drafted guys like W Gay instead.

IMO, Ike has been a stud CB for the defense. Ike shut down many good/great WR's within the scheme of the defense. Ike never received the pub because he can't catch the football.

It would be nice to have lock down cover guy. Revis types of CB's don't come a long very often. I believe you are mistaken if you believe that there were opportunities to draft hundreds of lock down, blanket cover guys.

Take a look at this list and point out all the lock down cover guys the Steelers had the opportunity to draft.
