I don't understand why they don't televise the Steelers more in Iowa. Don't they know I am here wanting to watch them play? I mean it isn't like I have been a fan for about 38 years or so. On the other hand, good excuse to go to the bar!

    especially
when the hawkeyes unis are so close to the Steelers

I don't know how many times I've been fooled thinking a steelers game was on tv

    ONLY

    to realize

    it is ONLY Saturday!!!!

time to trick the hawkeye fans thinking their team is playing 2 days in a row:smiley1:

Darcrav...I'm from here and probably get more confused than anyone during the weekend. I'll think I'm watching something unfold on TV, believing it to be Steelers related, only to be crushed or thankfull it is the Hawkeyes I'm seeing. Sometimes I feel like I'm looking for the corners in a round room.

Same here...Its probably the single greatest investment that I have ever made...

I throw the redzone channel on the laptop and sit in my cave in front of my 60 inch....would never have it any other way...I don't know how people can live without it...

It may come down to money for some. If its not money then I don't know why any Steeler fan outside of Pittsburgh wouldn't have it. I'd sell one of my Kidneys to get it.

I had Direct TV NFL ticket for years and years and they kept jacking up my rate. I told them I was going to cancel it and they waived many fees for a couple of years and then all of a sudden they started nickel and diming me to death again. Told them that I was going to cancel again and they wouldn't waive anything but by this time the monthly rates were beyond what I really wanted to afford and at the time I was really only seeing 3 maybe 4 games a season cause the Steelers were always on National TV week in and week out so I said the heck with them and I now choose to listen on Sirius which I do like because I can listen to Tunch and Wolfe and I like the way they call the game. Makes me feel back at home with all the yinzer talk. I chose to have sirius radio but not Direct TV cause I love music and it gives me a better bang for the buck entertainment wise.

Now I can't seem to get any Steelers games where I live. Sunday, the wife and I are going about 40 miles away to the closest sport bar and getting a hotel cause there is no way I'm missing watching this game.

This year I tried signing up for Direct TV again and got some foreign lady who I couldn't hardly understand and she was asking me 45 minutes worth of Questions and the last one when I hung up was for my SSN. Not sure if that's the norm but I aint giving to some foreigner or anybody for that matter.

I could probably watch it on the computer but for the Rats I'm going to screaming my head off in a 200 + yr. old town in Indiana. GO STEELERS!!!!!!!

Seems like one night in the hotel and the other costs of driving 40 miles and eating at a sports bar would more than pay for the ticket? To each their own I guess.
I'd pay $1,000 a year and be happy.

Not changed this time. Good I get to watch the game.

I think I said this before but from early 1979 to October 1981 I was a Drill Instructor at Parris Island SC. If I had duty on a Sunday it was usually free time for the recruits BUT!! I was the SR. DI so if I had duty the boys got to watch football. The station manager there must have been one of those Pittsburgh transplants because, I saw every Steeler game in those two years. When I left in October 1981 I had 30 days leave in Leetsdale (saw the games on tv) and then came here to Camp LeJeune. Then I had to sit in my car and try to tune into a Steeler game on the radio. I missed Parris Island then.
