Just curious where everyone stands this week. After finally getting a win, and looking more like a football team I used to know, what are your feelings going in to the Ravens game on Sunday? Confident, hopeless, or somewhere in between?

In between. I just don't know which team is going to show up.

I'm confident that if it's not a nationally televised game in my area I'm going to call the NSA and have them spy on me for preventive self destruction. Lock them satellites on me early cause there's no telling what might go down!

I'm happy with the win, but won't let it confuse the fact that this isn't a very good team. My fear is they'll do just enough to keep us out of top round talent.

Despite my piss & moans over the last few weeks i did see the team making progess from week1. The road win sunday against a strong D and not to shabby O couldn't have come at a better time. I feel confident we will have a good day. I see Flacco running for his life our D (too many to mention lol)) is going to be putting the pressure gettin the sacks & T/0's I see picks from the secondary i see our offense doing enough to keep Ben upright and given time to hit the crosses the deep's. If Bell can hit the outside wow this could be big!! I believe Heinz field will be electric!!!

Now was that dramatic or what :lolol:

That is exactly what we are going to do. Either way though we will undoubtedly draft the least exciting player available no matter where we pick and not see him contribute for a while. I have lost all confidence in our fo at making roster moves, namely Colbert.

Cautiously optimistic. They've improved every week, but they are improving at a snails pace, need to take bigger leaps. Ravens offense is pretty pitiful too though, if we get a repeat performance from the defense, I think we can come out on top.

I feel better than I did a couple of weeks ago, but I'm still cautiously optimistic.

The ravens pass rush worry me. I think Ben is going to get pummeled in this game. We won't be able to stop Torrey smith as usual. I predict the bubble screen will cost us big in this game. The thing that keeps me optimistic is that flacco can single handedly be the reason we beat them. I also fear that Ray rice could get back to normal vs our d, we've been very sketchy against the run this year.

    Yeah, still worried, here.
Mostly, because we STILL seem to have a hard time actually getting in the endzone.
All these fg`s, instead of touchdowns, give teams way too many chances to come back, and beat us.
I have seen improvement, and luckily, the Ravens seem to be struggling this year as well, so I`m not hopeless and expecting us to get killed this week.
I think we definitely CAN win, but we have to continue with the ball security, first and foremost, and clean up the offensive penalties, as well.
If we can start getting more td`s than fg`s, we could become a team to be reckoned with, again!
    GO STEELERS!!!

With being 1-5 or 2-4 in the balance I hope this team hates losing as much as we do. I played for 12 years and have really messed up shoulders for life. I did it for pride. I hope this team can find their pride.

Feeling good TTF. I think the Steelers have the advantage. Being at home and coming off a win and with a 3-3 Ravens team I say we win.

It looks like they are finally putting together a team effort. If they play like they did against the Jets they should win this one.

Yeah, Dummervill against Gilbert and Suggs against Beachum. SMH. But I definitely feel alot better than I did before. I can actually save this game on my DVR and rewatch it as I don't rewatch games they lose.

I'm feeling excited, but for me this is another must-win game. (Aren't they all at this stage?)

The reason I'm excited, though, is that for the past two games the Steelers have looked a bit more like the team I love to watch. The first three games were just unrecognisable.

    Win, and there is hope.

Lose, ...well, we still have (among others):
    At patsies
    Lions (which Lion team shows?)
    at Ravens
    Bengals
    at the Pack

Any team would be lucky to win 3, of those 5.

The Steelers will win time to stack some wins. If Ben has time to throw he will pick the Ravens apart.

they will have to play way better than they did against the Jets if they want to beat the Ravens.

cant settle for field goals. defense will have to force turnovers and the offensive line has to keep Ben clean.

    Im worried
if the ravens give the ball to rice i think we are in trouble
if not (and for some reason some games he doesnt get many touches) ill be less worried

I hope the win doesn't leave them to complacent. we need the sense of urgency every week from now on. a home division game should help. get loud people.

I think this is a MUST win! (yeah, I know, I said that about a preseason game once)

I really believe if we beat the Rats we're back in this thing. This will be the kind of game that sets the tone for the rest of the season. If we lose this game, it will finally confirm for me that this team doesn't have the will or the talent to compete this year. If we win, we've still got some fight left!

It's definitely a must win, they absolutely have to build off of last weeks victory. I honestly feel we can't lose a game until we are 6-4, lose one and then run off another winning streak, have to finish with at least 10 wins to have any kind of chance because unfortunately I think Cincy is last years Ravens, keep pulling wins out of their ass when it looks like all is lost.

    Still feeling pretty hopeless.

Beating the jets does nothing for trying to work the paper bag off my head because its the JETS.

Obviously beating the rats is obviously important for our obvious long-term potential obviously, but I'm afraid of TTF's predictions a week or three ago:

They will turn it around JUST enough to make us THINK they can slip in the backdoor of the playoffs, fall short, and give us a worse draft spot than we're at now.

If you're going to suck as a team don't do it half-assedly, time is precious.
