The Jets have a better run defence than the Ravens do. The packers have an explosive passing game so that keeps the defence honest. We have a passing game that is unbearable to even watch most of the time, so defences don't need to sit back, they can crowd the line. We also have a terrible Oline that can't run block.

All those things are going to combine for a bad YPC. Get used to it, it's probably not going to get much better for as long as Tomlin is here. We've never had a good Oline under Tomlin.

    Why is that
is it because he thinks Ben can handle it
or we are too cheap to pay em or what?

The Jets are lights out against the run. I think that's the real story here. Did you see Bell miss a hole or make a wrong cut? I mean what did he have to work with?

This. The only negative thing I can say about Bell's entire game is that one spin move that almost got him killed. It ended up working and he got another 3 yards or so, but I still didn't like it. Other than that, he hit the right holes, not that there were any, and didn't make any mistakes. He did his part, the Oline didn't do their part

Well, he actually displayed some bad vision earlier on. I can think of three plays off the top of my head where he missed a clear lane. Regardless, we won, I'm happy, let's keep improving and stacking wins.

That's the type of RB he is, he's a bruiser. He's going to run over guys. Bell can do it too, but that's not really his game.

YOUR RIGHT! I forgot. Running is a one man game.

I mean its not like our line was letting multiple players in the backfield.

Even Funner fact. Green Bay has a better o - line for run blocking than us.

Green Bay, has had over 100 yard rushers in every game besides week 1 this year. They came close to having 2 100 yard rushers in a single game last week (Randal Cobb (WR) had 75)

That includes, Starks, Lacy, Johnathon Franklin.

    Bring up pre-season?

Did you catch Lacys' preseason game where he had 8 carries for negative yards?

O-line terrible run blocking, vs the best Run blocking D in the league.

Technically Denver is better, on Paper. Only because teams have to air it out against them, With all the points Denver puts up.

He's run over people the last two weeks. Either you didn't see it or you didn't want to see it because then you would have nothing to ***** about. Don't know if you noticed, but our running game was beyond bad when Dwyer and Redman were carrying the rock. Don't know why you expected it to improve overnight

People actually questioning his YPC, and we won today? Seriously, I have no words .......well, yes I do. The Jets D is very tough front 7 to run against. Secondly, there are other teams accepting news fans, so please, feel free to check them out. Lacy had some good runs, and that is relevant to the Steelers how? Truly, S M H

Does anybody else notice, that you can almost always tell when with their formation, when they are going to run. Still think they are too predicable in the run game.

    1. Always on first down. (change it up once in while)
    2. When you strong side with the tight end tight or extra tackle you always run.

Teams know this and stack it up close to line making it harder for running lanes. Just some of the reasons beside a bad blocking line, that we can't get any consistence in the running game.

He also didn't play hardly at all in preseason and this is only his second game. The comparison to Lacy will be more accurate after he gets a few games under his belt.

Unfortunately I was thinking the same thing.....his ypc was similar last week as well I believe so the argument about jets d doesn't hold water for me...what I noticed is Bell doesn't have a second gear.......don't get me started on Jarvis who I have gone on record saying he would've be better inside. When worilds made that sack JJ hardly played after that. My fear is we got good players but not great with our first 2 picks......I definitely would have drafted lacy.

Really? How short of memory do you have? I recall in the Vikings game Bell started to look for a hole at the line and then move to the outside edge and beat all defenders to the
    end zone lol

You still think he does not have a second gear?

Jarvis Jones was a beast at OLB, and had some of the best stats at his position in all of college football, and on top of that he played in a defense similar to ours at Georgia, and you think he'd be better at ILB? Hmmm that wouldnt cause any delay in his development at all. Oh and he doesnt get credit for the INT he basically created by getting to Geno Smith today. That INT was all because of him. It was gift wrapped for Timmons. SMH at some people. The guy is a rookie and making a nice impact, imagine how he will be in a year or so as he gets acclimated to the pros. Same with Bell, the guy is running behind a poor offensive line who cant create a decent hole, and hes making positive yardage out of it. Hes having growing pains, but I can count just this game alone atleast 5 times he made the 1st guy miss in the backfield just to turn something that could be negative into positive yards. His 34 yards were well earned. We didnt draft lacy so you might as well get over it.
