    Their offense is no joke either. I really think this game will hinge on whether or not we pressure Geno Smith. If our trend of no sacks continues we will lose this game.

    I think DL will have smiths head spinning. I'm looking for this to be the Steelers break out game.

    Their defense is much better then their offense, they are inconsistent on offense.

    I hope you guys are right but I think if Geno has time and our corners are playing with that infuriating and ridiculous cushion we could be in for another week of let's kill Mike Tomlin.

    If our offense keeps giving them a short field, it will not matter if Dick Lebeau can create havoc or not. It comes down to their DL and our OL.

    The trick is to let Geno do the damage himself. Make him run out of the pocket because he thinks a blitz is coming. Make him think he has to win the game himself. That's when the mistakes will come. I'm not sure DL has the personnel to make his head spin completely, but he can be his own worst enemy at times - we need that time to be this game.

    I know you hate the cushion but no QB has shredded us yet, 2 of them had bad games with about 150 yards and Castle only went over 200 yards because of a 70 yard run after the catch. Cutler is much better then Geno and he threw for like 160 yards.

    Last game was an anomaly, the defense usually doesn't give up big plays like that and I'm still standing behind DL's record against rookie QB's until those numbers start changing.

    Key to this game, as always, is the line, the Jets will kill Ben if they don't buy him some protection.

    Yep - for the first half of the Vikes game, we were holding them quite well, bar the two big plays.

    Games like the Vikings and the Bears gave me hope that turning this season around is possible. I agree that Ben just needs time, and to not be killed.

    i'm not sure geno has really been around long enough to have had a meshing with holmes or winslow? i don't think he has a go to guy per say.:cool:
