What team rules would you enact to help this team?

If discipline is one of our problems, what team rules would you enact? My top three would be:

    1. No celebrations after plays like first downs, tackles, sacks, or touchdowns. Act like this is your job and it is a common occurrence.
    2. If you fumble or drop a pass, you immediately get the ball the next play to show confidence in your ability and an opportunity to redeem yourself. This reduces the fear of making mistakes, but this rule is voided if it becomes a common occurrence, then you are benched.
    3. You are benched for the rest of the game after stupid personal fouls. If there could be a $$$ fine from the team, that would be assessed, too, but I think this is prohibited by the CBA.

    What would your rules be?

Tomlin cannot chest bump, fist bump or high five a player after he makes a play. The player gets paid to do his job. Tomlin may be allowed to give the player a quick head slap and may say to the player, "Way to do your job! That's what we expect you to do if you want it to continue to be YOUR job!"

I HATE it! Act like a coach and not a teammate or fan! Now this is my perception and I'm not saying it's reality, but there are times it appears Tomlin gets lost in the moment and forgets to coach. He gets that deer in the headlights look when things aren't going so well and then when somebody makes a play he becomes a big fan and cheerleader. Tomlin needs to keep his head in the game and do what he gets paid to do, COACH! He needs to be giving DL and Haley input the entire game and I don't care if DL is looked at as a coaching god and has been around for 100 years nor do I care that Tomlin's background is defense and not offense, he needs to tell Haley to ditch the bubble screen and throw the ball on first down on occasion. He needs to push John Mitchell and Kirby Wilson to the side every once in a while and offer some input. He needs to get in the offensive line's face when they're trying to get his QB killed! Too often he's little more than a spectator (IMHO) and he needs to be a HEAD COACH!

I'm no fan of the chest bump either but I don't see it as a big deal.

Remember St Bill once kissed Kordell Stewart.

I guess maybe I'd feel differently if on occasion I saw Tomlin, you know, coaching on the sideline.

Disclaimer: Before you burn your keyboard up chastising me for this, I realize this is MY perception and may not be reality.

Team rules have nothing to do with helping this team it's a lack of talent that's holding them back.

The Steelers are now allowed 7 offensive linemen.

    Outside Left Tackle
    Inside Left Tackle
    Left Guard
    Center
    Right Guard
    Inside Right Tackle
    Outside Right Tackle

    Problems solved.

When you lose or you have to wash your uniform, can't change or shower after the game in the locker room, and need to find your own way home. In addition if you lose one more game this year donate all pool tables, ping pong tables, and other locker room perk items to a charity :smiley1:

We gave more talent than 0-4 would indicate. We have enough talent to be competitive, but we are not getting the most out of the talent available.
