You could be right. I did not a watch a single second of the Minnesota game so I dont know how well he played. I have seen him play in person and it was not pretty.

He did look good there, and I still think he ends up being our future RT. Adams looked particularly good in the run game last season. I'm not ready to give up on him yet. Give him time.

i found this post on arizona message board ... make me laugh

If the Cardinals could pay $3,000,000 to all 31 other teams in the league to play a Levi Brown at LT, that would be $93,000,000 well spent. [IMG]

I think we all need to remember that he did miss substantial time after being stabbed. He lost alot of preparation and work out time there and it is hard to catch up from that.

take that with a grain of salt freak. remember he's in BA's offense with carson palmer in the pocket. we saw ben sacked 40+ times a year in BA's offense and ben can get out of bad situations a lot better than palmer.

he sat out a full year last year. he should know haleys offense and they didn't bad mouth him much when he was their LT in the SB against us. I think we will like him down the line this year.

mike adams needs a lot of technique work, a lot. he also needs to add a lot of strength. I could see loving him for his run blocking but we haven't been very good at that either, so what's really to love there?

I sure hope we still draft one next year.

The only name that stands out is Kelechi Osmele who is a guard and we had picked DD in the first round but as far as players still on the board when we picked Adams? LaMichael James and Russell Wilson were still on the board.

I was just going to say that. Osmele is actually a G/T player...the Ravens drafted him and he started at RT for them...then when their LG went down he slid over there and Oher to RT and McKinnie to LT. That was probably the only other linemen option that close to the Steelers pick.

    L. Brown was over drafted and is now considered a bust!!! He has never been a good pass protector since he 1st entered the league and is just barely an upgrade over Adams in that department.

Brown is a solid run blocker however and that may be our saving grace.

A serious upgrade in our run game will help open up the offense, help keep the wolves at bay as our once sacrificial lamb, Big Ben, gets a little breathing room and improve our passing game as well. With Miller and Bell back coupled with a slight improvement @ LT we may yet save our season.

You had your reasons. It did seem like a bit of an odd move for an FO that is otherwise fairly careful with money and trades...

While Foster isn't the answer, I hope this isn't the case - just let players play where they're best. All this re-shuffling, new positions, new sides... too much development, not enough performance.

Jonathan Martin was an OT the Dolphins took in the 3rd, and he actually graded out better than Adams. Mayock loved the guy and thought he'd fit on either side. He's had his struggles in Miami though.

Martin was pick 42, Adams was pick 56. A lot of draft scouts had Martin being a potential 1st rounder.

My bad. You are correct, sir. Martin was off the board when Adams was picked.

yea. he has been playing a little better in pass protection since velasco got here. the interior has sealed itself up much better overall since velasco's been here every week. it's the tackles that are hurting us.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but PFF has him ranked as the 9th best run blocking LT. If that is true I will take him passing blocking like Adams if he is going to open up the run game.

Yeah and it would be funny if BA turned out to be the guy that saved our season by sending us a stud linemen but then Palmer gets his brains beat out the rest of the year. LOL.
