might have some answers this weekend

I went to high school with a former nfl player who stays in touch with a current steeler. we are still pretty close. he doesn't like to talk football much anymore but I get his ear every now and then. they are doing some bow hunting this weekend. he told me he would make sure I got to meet him. we are going to have some beers at his house. if he will talk, I will ask.lol

 

I find myself in a dilemma. even I hate talking about work when I am away from it. I don't want to seem like a pest or a guy that you don't want around. I was wondering what you guys would do if you had a chance to hang out with a player. would you be like a little kid and ask all kinds of questions or just try to be as cool as possible and just let him relax?

 

Treat him like any of your other friends.
I'm friends with a guy who played with the baseball Cardinals, was friend with him when he played. He told me one time that one of the things he appreciated most about me is that I never wanted anything from him related to his fame as a player. I never talked about his situation with the team unless he brought it up and most certainly would never tell anyone of private things regarding the Cardinals that he told me. Still talk to him a few times a year and grab a bite when he's in town.
Just be yourself and don't pester him.

ok. sounds like a good plan. thanks. the guy I went to school with, he is use to me pestering him but I have known him since we were 10. he knows I will be excited. its strange to look at a guy who is younger as intimidating.lol

 

If you ask the odds of getting anything worthwhile are probably nil.

 

really hate to say. my buddy didn't really want me to tell anyone. he specifically said don't get on that message board and blab about it all week. only reason I said anything is I think I will be able to get alittle info on what is going on.

Hey since you guys are bow hunting I've had a pse listed on Armslist for a month now and can't get somebody to buy it but for a Steeler I would probably GIVE IT AWAY! LOL! Hook me up steel!

I was informed earlier by a buddy that I gave to big a hint with the bow hunting.lol

 

My guess is that the "Steeler in question" shops at "Archer's Edge". LOL

Hey keep your ears open for someone needing a crossbow and if you find anyone send them my way. I've been trying to get rid of that thing forever. I will give a Steelers Fan discount too. LOL.

 

My personal guess is the Steeler is Doug Legursky. It's not a current Steeler right? Just a "player" with connections "to" the Steelers?

wasted thread. I am disappointed. apparently some players or shall I say majority of the players are staying in Pittsburgh this week. received a call after a buddy seen my post. he called and told me the bad news. yes the player was keisel. I guess its a good thing that they are sticking around. sorry to waste time.

 

Dang Kiesel was my 2nd guess! I'm not surprised he hunts though. He's a westerner. I bet he's killed some big game before out there.
