I know it is nowhere near his fault but that stat just seems hard to grasp. It has been almost a year since he started and finished a game that matters with a win. That was the Giants game last year.

Its very telling for someon that has not watche Ben but for those who us who have watched him he has not been terrible by any means. In fact him , Bell, AB and Miller kept us close and in that Vikings game

It is very much his fault, at least a significant portion of it is. Ben has become Mr. Turnover. Ben has become Mr. Choke. In other words, he's morphing into Tony Romo. It started in force last year but you could see it coming before that. It goes back to the GB Super Bowl when he threw two crucial picks, one a pick six, and was unable to mount even what resembled a last minute drive to get the Steelers back in the game. In fact, we went four and out and looked bad doing it. Last year, he threw the two crucial interceptions against the Cowboys and the Bengals which cost the Steelers the playoffs. This year he's become a turnover machine, responsible for six himself the last two games. How long has it been since he's mounted a 4th quarter comeback? Way too long! Not sure what's going on with Ben but he's not the same quarterback he was and I'm concerned we may have already seen the best of him.

My concern about Ben is that he just doesn't seem the same ole Ben ...
How many times has he taken off running the ball past the LOS this year?
How many times has he scrambled to the sidelines like in years past?

As much as I like Ben it is hard not to point the finger at him for a lot of this teams downfall. When this team needed some leadership and good play from the QB position he failed. I mean when things are going south you turn to your franchise QB for help and he has failed. Yeah he has a bad offensive line but when you are one and seven in the last eight games and responsible for six turnovers in two weeks, throwing interceptions in critical times of the game, you are not doing your hundred million dollar job.......I used to think Ben was not as much to blame as his line but the last few games when he needed to come through, he seems to have a tendency to screw up some how.

Well I guess I should have waited until today to speak on Ben since I was "a moron" for speaking about it yesterday

Ben is used to playing with a number 1 D that has been the real reason for most of the wins the past 5 or so years while he gets the credit for it(which is why I believe Harrison had a problem with him), now the D stinks and when it's time for Ben to put the team on his back and win the game, he gift wraps it and hands it to the other team

Actually, I think he has turned into Jay Cutler.... more so than anyone else. But if nothing else, he's still racking up his precious stats.

When they win its a team effort, when they lose its all on Ben, thought you knew that.

2 picks didn't cost the Steelers the playoffs last year, 8 losses did.

That said, the piss poor performance of this team is shared by all. No one is putting up Pro Bowl numbers.

We were talking about this at the game. He's still scrambling behind the line, just doesn't seem to dare to go past it.

Ben just needs to hold on to the ball. If it is not there throw it away. We are not good enough on defense to give anyone a short field. Just take the sack with both hands on the ball or throw it in stands.

There were a few occasions after the snap where Bell ran right, and he was wide open!!..Ben just ran str8 up and either got sacked or over threw a receiver .. I would've loved to see Bell run in an open field, he would've made the defenders look foolish

I had a thread about Ben the other day in crucial situations and turning the ball over he's killing us. Instead of holding onto the ball forever when it's 3rd and 5 he needs to try and run sometimes.

How many times has Ben had "forever"? He didn't have a chance to get rid of it on the last play yesterday, he started to step up in the pocket and was horse collared. Fumble there makes no difference, time would have run out anyway.

We have many more issues than one player this year and even going back to last year. Ben is doing what he can with the blocking he is getting. I do think there are times he could run for a first down or get a chunk of yards which he doesn't do and it puzzles me.

The team doesn't need to point fingers as there is enough blame to go around on both sides of the ball. We have had a season of a lot of if's but at the end of the day we are 0-4. I hope the players on this team get it straightened out over the Bye week. If not I will continue to watch and root for them. Worse case it gives the front office bargaining on contract items to help our CAP situation.

    I thought, when we lose, it's: Tomlin's, LeBeau's Haley's, Rooney's fault.
    I'm confused.

When Ben entered the league he won early and often. 15-1 his rookie yr, a SB win his 2nd. It wasn't always pretty, but Ben was a WINNER. Let Peyton put up his pretty numbers, our guy just won, we'd sneer. Sure he looked like bad in SB 40, but he won, that's what he does.

A 2nd ring, leading his team on a last minute drive, cemented the legend.

All that was fine as long as he won. And now he's not so the heat gets turned up. I don't know if he can recover the old magic, at the moment he seems a bit shaken.

One has to wonder what changes the coaches saw in Ben's game to make them spend a 4th round pick this year on L.Jones when that pick probably could have been better used??

I'd say the pick had little or nothing to do with changes the coaches saw. They wanted a long term developmental prospect. If there were changes that concerned them, they would have moved up or taken a higher caliber QB.

Eli Manning is 2-6 his last 8 games and I would rank him up there with Ben. A good QB becomes a bad one when the supporting cast is lousy.
