You're absolutely right. I don't know that he doesn't watch enough film and you don't know that he does. As I stated above, my OPINION based on the evidence that I've witnessed is that he does not spend enough time studying film and preparing for the opponent. I'm just saying he's made a career on being more physical than the linebacker trying to corral him and elusive enough to allow a receiver to break open for a big gain. It's been fun to watch, but as his physical skills decline he'd better be taking a page or two out of Manning's playbook.

I just had a flash back to the home opener last year. A couple of rows over from where my wife and I sat, there were two guys randomly shouting, "throw it to Wallace."
As to the letter that fan wrote, there's things written on here that are 1000 times worse. Most of what he was complaining about was true. Just the fact that he used the word "breeches" in his letter tells me that he's old enough to have been one of the fans that booed Terry Bradshaw at 3 rivers.

 

Ya know I was just thinking that if there was a stat for throwing it away I would almost bet that Ben would be near or at the absolute bottom of the league over his career in terms of how many times he throws it away. Brett Favre didn't throw it away a lot either. Ben just has a risk/reward style and that's the bottom line. It has won us some games and it has lost us some games. You live by the sword. You die by the sword. I've just reserved myself to this judgment concerning Ben. I don't think he will ever just throw it away. He's just not wired that way. He's greedy. LOL.

 

Oh, come on let's not beat that dead horse again. There are those that say he understands the running game here as well, even though he's said repeatedly he doesn't.
