    Everytime I hear something is being widely reported about the Steelers in this town, I remember how widely it was reported about who "had" the HC job "for sure". When did the Steelers ever discuss their personnel matters with anyone before they announced a decision officially?

    If anyone remembers the debacle that was Ray Sherman, I'm sure they'll handle it in much the same way. So IF, AND THAT'S A BIG IF, Todd haley gets fired it won't be until the end of the season. Two reasons to support this are that these struggles to me seem to be as much about lack of talent, which Haley can do nothing about, as it does scheme. And secondly, Dan Rooney is back in Pittsburgh so Art II can lean on him for sage advice and no knee jerk decisions. GO STEELERS!

    Yeah, Wilson's done such a great job with the RBs he should be handed the OC job on a silver platter. I think that's who Tomlin wanted/wants but I'm losing confidence in Tomlin's ability to effectively evaluate and make the right personnel moves. I've never understood the love for Kirby Wilson and what makes Tomlin think he's qualified to be he OC. But hey, it worked for the Ratturds last year with Jim Caldwell, JIM CALDWELL, replacing Cam Cameron. Nothing would surprise me.

    Well, to be fair, who's he had to work with? Mendy whom was a good back for us and Red and Dwyer. And if Haley is getting a pass for the line, then so should Wilson.

    I understand what you're saying, but I never understood why it was a foregone conclusion that Wilson was going to be the OC and no one else would be considered. What's the allure about Wilson that made him the obvious choice?

    I think it was just a matter of staying in house. They have a better track record when they promote from within and a pretty bad track record when they hire outside the organization for coordinator positions. Personally I would have liked Fichtner to get a shot but I don't have a problem with Wilson getting it.

    Sorry. I'm just sticking up for a friend here. You guys may have thought whatever you wanted when reading it, but it doesn't say someone close to the Steelers anywhere there. So to say the writer was misleading is not true.
