The 'face mask' is total BS.

 

Hines Ward should be in bankruptcy. He did that on a weekly basis when he played.

 

I wonder where all this "Fine" money goes?

 

I wish it would go towards rebuilding our offensive line.

 

I had originally thought the Facemask was BS, which it is. You can blearly see that his fingers went to curl and he stopped them without grabbing and turning. Adrian Peterson and Ray Rice comes to mind as habitual offenders, who've not been called or fined.

The PF I had thought was legit until I saw the animated gif. He's cleary going for the hit and leading with his shoulder. Problem is the level is changing at the same time. Once he got halfway there, he's already committed to the hit and I thought just to get the shoulder in first was pretty damn good. Yes, the helmets collided, big damn deal!

i believe it goes to a charity that the player chooses.

 

When will they start fining for pass interference or off sides....its not enough to get the 15 yards...now its $$$ on top of it.

Still nothing on Ben getting his head ripped off though....That was a great play and made all the highlights!

 

What I find ridiculous is that if they watch it in slow motion Brown never makes any attempt to twist his head by the facemask, that is all done by the defender trying to turn his head and get his facemask loose. They gave him a 15 yard penalty the more severe of the two for something that should have been five for incidental contact.

 

That rule is gone if it is incidental and you don't turn the guys head it's nothing anything else is 15 yards

 

Then it really is ridiculous, he twisted is own facemask and Brown gets 15 and a fine.

It's almost to that point.

I mean what the hell do I care that a millionaire gets fined a few thousand? Nothing, but now he'll be labeled a repeat offender and possibly suspended later on for something just as ridiculous!
