It's not only the point of them not playing well and inexperience but I expected more from two 2nd round picks. The stuff they are doing technique wise you shouldn't see. Maybe it's not their fault. Maybe we just drafted them too high.

Why does Beachum look like he has better technique and sound recognition then one guy that came out of Florida and another from Ohio State? Why is it such a HUGH difference? Is our evaluators that lost? How many powerhouses come out of SMU? No pun intended on Beachum. But it's like almost night and day between these guys.

I remember one play where both Bear outside rushers came free and basically just met at the QB, they hardly even got touched. Pathetic.

On the radio today Wolfely was saying for a guy who has the most experience on the line he makes some rookie mistakes. Not sure this dude is getting it???

The O-line is soft and slow afoot on every play defenders were running around Adams. For these guys to be 300 lbs they seem to be weak ESPN showed plays when the O-line getting run over and pushed back.

Any one think what they really need is a boost of confidence? Just one half or maybe a whole game where they just beat the living daylights out of the defense? Something to build on?

Disagree. He played decent and was even the reason we got a couple 1st.

look at the highlights of just two plays on page two of this thread, our o-linemen are pushed back 5-6 yards into our qb both times. that allows no pocket for our qb.

I think this is absolutely what they need. Stop tickling the opposition. Start killing them.

You're right: he's likely going nowhere. But it wouldn't be a carousel if he were fired. Hard to believe, but Tomlin is already in his seventh season. Only six NFL HCs have been at their current post longer: Belichick, Coughlin, Lewis, Kubiak, McCarthy, and Payton.

    It is hard to believe!

But then again, I always think of Ben as having played for about 3 seasons...

i think the biggest problem with this team is the coaching staff.

they obviously dont have the talent to run the offense and defense the way the coaches want. so my question is, why dont the coaches run a system that works for the players they have.

the definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

this is how this coaching staff coaches. Haley keeps running the same plays even though its obvious his oline cant block long enough for the play to have a chance. DL keeps calling the same blitzes even though its obvious his defensive players cant get to the qb. Tomlin keeps doing nothing when its obvious his coaching staff isnt making adjustments.

the Steelers coaching staff is the definition of insanity.

until they make the proper adjustments and use different players that might actually give them a chance, we are going to keep seeing the same results.
