Seeing how head coaches are fired all the time, wouldn't you have it in WRITING that
you will have a say in player personnel, selection of coaching staff? Wouldn't you atleast want to do it your way? And if you fail so be it?

So I again ask,who is buying the groceries for this team. Who is pulling the trigger on these draft selections. Can somebody PLEASE ANSWER this?

Is somebody going to step up and take responsibility for the 2008 draft, that we have no one left on the team from that draft. Will somebody take responsibility for Gilbert, Adams, Colon, all the other junk we have brought in? Somebody
is going to answer at the end of this season. We will know who was responsible soon enough,
Or will it be a CLEAN SWEEP?

The Rooney's have final say with this team, always have, probably always will. How often they go against what Colbert wants, who knows. How often does Colbert go against with Tomlin wants, who knows. We'll likely never know.

To answer your other question, of course a coach wants all those things you mentioned, but unless you're an established coach with a proven track record, you won't get those things

    It depends.

Am I a guy who's never been a HC before? Am I very eager to get the job under any terms, since I may not get another offer again? If I'm not in a position to demand final say, I might take the job anyway and hope for the best.

Am I Joe Gibbs or Bill Parcells and can have my pick of HC jobs when I'm available? Damn straight I get final say or I walk.

Bill Parcells liked to say that, "They want you to cook the dinner, at least they ought to let you shop for some of the groceries.” A coach should have a good amount of input but very few have carte blance in regards to acquiring players.
