...admit failure (Which they wont) with their offensive line prospects and start replacing them with free agents NOW. They can rebuild around free-agent pickup Velasco. There ARE free agent linemen out there that are immediate upgrades over the other four linemen we currently start.

Defensive line would be the next assignment, but not until they re-do the O-line.

This of course is all wishful thinking, as the Steelers are too stubborn to admit their mistakes by thinking that Adams/Foster/DeCastro/Gillbert were the future, let alone ready to start this season. Wasted picks all around.

Lol. Calm down. It's one thing to plug a rookie in an established line, but we five guys with minimal experience. They will need time and the Steelers will give it to them.

Admitting failure to who? Im sure that discussion has already taken place amongst them and they are aware, as are we, that they have major issues along the OL. They dont have to, nor do I want them to, admit failure publicly.

Exactly. Don't giveaway the ball so frequently and take it away once in a while. We win. The end.

As a side note...all those linemen are wasted picks, busts, scrubs, to be immediately replaced etc? Come on, man...

The Bears had two rookie guard and tackle on the same side and we got two sacks. I wonder what round did they fine them in? It might be because Culter got rid of the ball quicker but they looked alot better than our two 2nd round picks.

You are right though, the steelers will give them time but it will cost Ben this season. I hope not though.

Bingo! Get rid of the ball to take the pressure off our OL. It's not rocket science folks. Move the chains ,create indecision for the defense. Third and long is a death sentence for us.

What I don't understand is we did that last year in the beginning of the year. We would just check it down to the TE or RB. It seems like we completely went away from it.

I'd say the fact that they're rotating tackles shows they're willing to admit they screwed up. But saying "start replacing with free agents" isn't a solution. We're stuck with what we got till the next draft. Coach em up and see who's good enough to stay on the team moving forward.

Yeah lets flush them all down the drain right now....1st/2nd rounders/etc who cares. SMH. If they had been playing all together for a number of years and still not improved...OK. But in reality DD is pretty much in his rookie season...Adams...same thing (yes he played last year but not a ton). Gilbert only has 1 year under his belt...and even the guys with more experience in Pouncey and Foster are still young. They've all shown flashes of good...and i think they will give them some time as someone said (while yes they did put Beachum in a little this weekend, still though).

I think they know the O line players need replacing but the cap is still jacked up. No money for free agents.

I think they have already admitted failure in a subtle way. When you started rotating your 2nd Round tackles with a 7th round pick, you have admitted failure.

No way they can do that as the salaries are guaranteed at this point.
