I think Ben is purposely throwing games to get Haley fired. LOL it seems like Ben has settled into marriage and fatherhood and has no drive like before when he was single. Maybe its an age thing or he just wants to coast through the rest of his career. Of course I could be totally wrong but he is playing like his best years are behind him. I hope I'm wrong and he still want to compete at that level. I know the O line is suspect but being responsible for 3 turnovers is just crazy. My humble opinion:facepalm:

He's playing like his best years are behind them because they ARE.

He's not a young guy anymore. Granted, 30 isn't very old even by NFL standards. But he's probably more like 35-36 in football years due to his constant beatings.

I don't see anything nefarious going on. That's ridiculous. We just have an aging, probably past-his-prime QB who also is extremely stubborn. That's not always a bad thing. But it has caused him some problems lately.

He can still be a winner. But he either needs the correct team around him and system that allows Ben to be Ben...

Or he has to change some of his (bad) habits and adjust his play to suit the reality of the team he's on.

I wouldn't say careless, but he's always been a little reckless.

And most of our problem stem off of one another, part of it is pressure... but Ben has looked bad, I agree. Even when he's had time he's missing throws. Ben and Sanders did a GREAT job beating the CB (was is Tillman?) on a double move in the first quarter, and Ben just flat out missed him.

Brown had an easy first down and more in the second quarter on a crossing route, and Ben missed him on a 5 yard throw.

It's not just Ben, and it's not just the O-line. It's a combination of both - and throw in a lack of weapons for good measure. Ben has not had mojo since he couldn't get it done on the big stage vs. the Packers in the SB a few years ago. Coming into this season I felt that Ben still had the ability to carry the team to victories. I was wrong. He is in the twilight of his career already.

i never said he couldn't thread the needle on occasion. let's not forget the overthrows, batted passes, throws behind the receivers, and can't throw a short dump off to save his azz.

i said he is and always has been careless with the ball.

Hopefully it gets the head coach fired, because in the end it starts and ends with HIM!

High school quarterbacks can thread the needle when they have protection. What is your point?

This conspiracy theory has entered my mind as well- and Im only half joking here. However, I just dont think Ben is THAT good to make it look accidental but really be on purpose you know? He is reckless/careless with the ball and that resulted in five turnovers last night.

Yep, I watched Ben miss many throws, including the one TD catch by Brown that wasn't overly accurate

I think when 100 million dollar QB's hit their 30's they need something to shake them up to keep their drive. With Payton it was the neck injury and being cut. Cutler has 2years less in the league he sucked for a couple of years and now he look rejuvenated. Coaching turned the corner for him. I hope neither for Ben. Maybe just some loss's

Your absolutely right, before, during the playoff years, he had enough talent around him and a defense that could overcome his pick 6s and fumble 6s, but without his security blanket covering up for his recklessness now he cant be turning the ball over, he was responsible for 4 turnovers and almost had a fith last night when he ran with the ball and dropped it but got lucky enough to get it back, he doesn't have that team that can cover up for his mistakes anymore, so he can keep costing us wins by hurting this team, until wimp tomlin benches him to make him accountable for his reckless ball handling, which we all know wont happen because tomlin is scared of him.....

My conspiracy theory began last week.

    It went something like this.

Ben Hates Haley, Haley hates Ben. Tomlin Hates Haley. Haley hates Tomlin.

Ben Loves BA. BA Loves Ben.

BA was forced out. Tomlin had no control of that nor did he with the new coordinator being hired.

Ben tanks season and fans boo him out of Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh West aka Arizona grabs Ben to reunite with BA.

Ben and wife move to beautiful Scottsdale Arizona and Ben wins Superbowl MVP throwing to Fitzgerald.

Let's just hope that I am way off on this.

He has his problems but the over thrown ball to sanders looked a lot like Sanders sort of tripped which slowed him down, and while you say it isn't just the oline, well I disagree. This IS THE WORST oline I've seen from this team, the rushers aren't just coming off the edge, they are coming up the middle and getting to him in a 3 step drop, have that happen on every pass play and the likes of Brady or Manning couldn't do any better. I watched Bubby Brister have 30 seconds in the pocket and still couldn't complete a pass and when the franchise QB is getting no help he gets blames, I agree he isn't playing well but the confidence is gone as there is no help and he looks to be playing scared, have you watched Drew Brees play when his line wasn't doing well? It got him traded and now he breaks records.
