I was just on the game thread and am really surprised. I really thought we played pretty well, especially on D, in the second half. Ben blew it. Two (or was it 3?) Picks and however many fumbles he had make it hard to win. I saw some life in this team tonight for the first time all season.

That's pretty accurate. The team looked a lot better in some ways tonight, and if you take away Ben's turnovers this game has a different outcome. You need a bullet proof vest if you're going to talk like that, though. :lolol:

this isn't a complaint about the team as much as a complaint in general but with all the eyes watching each play I would really like to hear the NFL's explanation for not calling holding every time when the LB's blitz off the edge. Harrison maybe gone but we are still seeing the clothesline arm bar holding by the tackles. Stretch arm across defenders chest, grab shoulder pad and hold don't worry it will never get called.

That's the problem though every week they find a different way to lose. It's always something and that's the sign of a badly coached and really dumb football team. There's not just one weakness it's lots of things that happen week to week.

I saw some positives but this team is always beating themselves> Oh my complaint is we didn't win again.

I will go throw up now.

You're so right. Woodley was getting held all. Night. Long. Seriously, it was bad. Not whining about it, but it is what it is.

The last time I felt this pessimistic about this football team, I was watching this video on Friday Night Videos:

On a very side note, Woodley is not worth his $13 million salary. At all. We need that money to spend on the offensive line. Ike's $10 million should be taken off the books at seasons end as well. We are spending wayy to much on a very sub-par roster.

You are right it is what it is but at a certain point I think the organization needs to put together some tape and take it to the league office and say we aren't asking for special treatment or to make it completely go away but could you level the playing field a little, you know just call it once or twice at least for safety sake.

I will not press play. How dare you attempt to give me a few moments of nostalgic pleasure? I'm meant to wallow in misery right now.:shots::cry::kapow:

Ben is a turnover machine 2 ints and 2 fumbles at this rate the Steelers won't keep him around after his contract is up.

Maybe he's trying to play his way out of town. His buddy out west will need a QB before too long.

yes they were better, and the game was exciting at times, but the mistakes and stupidity far outweigh the pluses. I am not sure that is progress. Ben and brown are going to make lots of great plays, but they have to somehow eliminate the big mistakes. And the D needs some big plays - they are always a half step away from a big play - have been for years.

Some time ago, and I don't remember when this was (07 or 08), the NFL did indeed clarify to the team that it's not holding.

We're starting to get better and get the O going and the D back but too many TOs to overcome.
