This guy is the worst reporter out there, it's unreal the s**t he spews.

I don't think there is even a remote possibility of this happening nor should it unless we are talking about immediate help in return. Our offense is starving right now, why would we get rid of yet another weapon?

I understand Blast Furnace's point however if we have another terrible unmotivated and uncoordinated showing I would make the trade depending on what they offer us. I would try to get a second but a third is more likely.

I read earlier that clevland is looking to trade WR Gordon, they said one team has made a respectble offer for him ( Pats) ?? him and Hoyer are both playing respt games right now Clevland leads 14-7

I highly doubt that we are going to get a 3rd round comp pick for Sanders if he leaves in the off season. No idea what that guy is smoking. Sanders hasn't done anything yet in his career, nobody will pay him enough for us to get a high pick

Why is that unrealistic, BF? If the Pats offered a 3rd rounder for Sanders right now I'd be all over it. He's leaving after this season anyway. His agent has already made it clear that they are going after the BIG CONTRACT this year. If the Colts give up a first rounder to the Browns for Trent Richardson, it's not beyond the realm of possibility that the Pats give up a third for Sanders.

I would rather talk to the Browns since they are doing some house cleaning.

Send them our first round pick and Sanders for Joe Thomas.

The Browns aren't doing any house cleaning. The Browns traded away Richardson because they value a 1st round pick more than they value TRich, and I gotta agree with them. TRich has no big play ability and has not helped them be competitive at all. They need a QB, and they'll need a good Oline and good WR's to help whatever young QB they grab. They aren't going to trade other young pieces away. That trade was all about the value of TRich and has nothing to do with rebuilding.

Well, I disagree. TRich was a known commodity and you traded it away on what "might be" someone just as talented. You had a very good running back and what a young qb values more than anything is a good running game. In my opinion if you are building a good team why trade away a piece of that good team. You don't have to be a break away thread in the running game to be successful.

TRich didn't fit their style at all. Besides, with the way the running game has evolved in the NFL, a blue chip guy like TRich isn't needed at all. Teams are using multiple RB's depending on the situation. A guy like TRich just isn't needed. The Browns were the 3rd worst rushing team in the league after 2 weeks, they can easily accomplish that with a lesser RB. TRich is overrated.

It doesn't seem like the Steelers will make a deal with Sanders before he enters free agency. If he gets to free agency, he's probably gone.

Lets say the Steelers are 0-4 or 0-5, why not get some thing for a guy who's leaving anyway during a lost season?

Well, that's not how I would build an offense.

You need a legitmate QB, WR, RB and left tackle. They had two of the four. Now they got one of the four. Same ole Browns.

Josh Gordon is a very good WR. A highly touted guy like TRich just isnt needed in today's NFL. A decent RB can get the job done with good blocking. Plus most teams use multiple guys anyway, so they don't need that one top guy

Oh well, maybe there is some validity to your arguement. Browns just won without TRich. :o)

Look at Atlanta. Steven Jackson goes down, their rushing game doesn't miss a beat. NO has 3 regular contributors to their rushing game, and they had 4 last year (Ivory). NE uses 3 or 4 RB's on a regular basis. Denver is using 3 guys to contribute to their running game.

I just think the RB position has changed. A top guy just isn't needed anymore. Teams don't run to setup the pass anymore. These days teams spread the defence out and then run. I just don't think TRich gave the Browns any type of advantage over other teams in the league. If he did, it sure didn't show up on the score board or the win column.

The Browns will be just fine without TRich, they just need a good QB, and another 1st round pick will help them get that QB. I think it was a very bold move by the Browns, but I also thought it was a great move that's going to pay off for them in the long term.

If TRich didn't fit their style, they should have changed their style. There is a reason they suck

Why would a team change their system to suit a RB? RB's are a dime a dozen in today's NFL. The Browns aren't going to suck for long. This is a team that's heading in the right direction. They have a good defence, a very good WR, a great TE and a good Oline. That team is a QB away from being a contender.

You're right. Our three running backs suck and it hasn't hurt us at all.:hmmm:

Our RB's are beyond bad. Why we have a plug like Redman is beyond me. The guy is horrible. But most of our problems are due to our Oline, not our RB's. Both Dwyer and Redman had 100 yard games last year. With good blocking, most RB's can put up 100 yards.

I'm with you, if I even see Redman on the sideline I'm going to puke.
