Given up next years first round pick for Trent Richardson?

I would have, proven entity, immediate upgrade to offense.

No. I want to see what Bell can do. If he doesn't work out, we can pick up immediate upgrades for a lot less than a first round.

Plus, Tomlin and Colbert need more high picks to swing and miss on linemen :roflmao:

There's some what-ifs involved... but I'd say right now? No.

We JUST spent a 2nd round pick on a running back, and that may end up being a top 10 pick. If you said would I have traded our first from this past draft, I'd have said yes.

this is partly the reason for my post, TR is a beast whereas Tomlin and Colbert might draft Ziggy Hood again. I'd trade TR for Hood any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

That would depend if out O-line remembered how to power block. Richardson is a power back that would need a power run game like the Steelers of ole where the guard would pull.

No, we have more than just a RB problem to fix.

Not a chance in hell. We need to fix the oline and until that's done they need every draft pick available.

Not sure the quality of player that the Colts really got. What was his yard per carry average? Somewhere around 3.5. Doesn't look like first round value to me but only time will tell.

And as others have said, let's see what Bell can do first.

Not a chance in hell. He has a career 3.5 ypc behind a very good Oline. Out of 298 career carries he has only 2 carries that went over 20 yards. The guy has almost no big play potential.

He's still a very good RB, but he's nothing special and with the state of the running game in the NFL, using a 1st on a RB is a waste

TR for a 20's draft pick? No, flat out ridiculous. Cleveland is Cleveland for a reason.

bell for a mid 20's pick next year? No as well. Right now we have no clue what his potential is, give the kid a chance to make a play on the field first.

Hell no what's Richardson done yet. If the O-line can't block why would you waste a first round pick on a running back.

Yeah and I would like to have Marshawn Lynch too. Good grief I get absolutely envious watching that team! Also your pm box is full Jack and I need to talk to you about that top secret thing that we can't tell anyone about. Just calmly clear it out and don't tell anyone about this post.

Nope. We had Mendenhall last year and Felix Jones this year. Both former 1st round picks.

No I would not give up a first round pick for Trent Richardson, not as the Steelers sit and just not on a general principle. First round picks are valuable. Indy is able to maybe get away with it since that pick will be in the 20's but TR is not Eric Dickerson or Barry Sanders. RB's value has been diminished in the new NFL and a first round pick for a RB is a very high price. I think there are very few circumstances I would give up a first round pick for. And in most cases the team I want to trade with is not going to give that player in a trade...

If the Browns miss on this upcoming draft it will set them back another 10 years. They have 7 picks in the first four rounds. They better get their franchise QB, another CB, o-line, d-line and yes a running back and all better pan out, or they will continue to be the bottom of the AFC North for several years. And there is no guarantee if they get those guys Cleveland will turn it around.
