Roethlisberger on #Steelers receivers, They’re not the biggest guys in the world, so it’s easy for DBs to hold them and push them

He's not calling them out, that's not the whole quote, he's saying they aren't getting calls:

Big Ben on WRs: "They’re not biggest guys in world .. easy for DBs to hold them, push them & arm bar them & they’re not getting calls."

Here's the full context. It's hard to get from some reporters via Twitter sometimes.

Reporter: Do some of your wide receivers need to show more preciseness and toughness in their route running? At times there seems to be some disconnect.

Ben: There is a little bit. They're not the biggest guys in the world so it's easy for defensive backs to hold them and push them and arm-bar them, and they're not getting calls. So it's tough. They just need to keep fighting through those things. I know they'll do that. They take pride in their work and they work hard at it. We're going to spend some extra time today making sure we can work through those issues.

Quit trying to spin it. He's calling them out for being midgets.

And it would help if they'd bulk up. I blame Tomlin for that. He needs to fire the strength and conditioning coach immediately and replace him with someone who knows how to lift weights and gain mass. Look at all of the physical WRs on all of the other teams. And the Steelers? A bunch of tiny undersized midgets. **FTSACCI!!!

**Fire The Strength And Conditioning Coach Immediately

Maybe it's because they get free run from our CBs during practice. They're always open with a 10 yd cushion. I'll say it again, you play how you practice.

They should have really good practices due to the Steeler D giving such big cushions!

and we have the biggest holder, grabber and arm bar Corner in the league, as in Ike Tayor. Our receivers should be used to it.

I also feel practicing against a 3-4 all the time hurts us badly during games against 4-3.

they don't. when we play a 3-4 defense we practice against a 3-4 defense. when we are going to play a 4-3 defense we line the defense up as a 4-3. same goes with the defense. we put in the other teams offense to practice against what they do.

That's what we need short fat receivers.

I was wondering during the game Monday if we actually look good in practice or do they get to game day and think, ****, we're screwed.

I always wondered his myself. I've been asking this for a while. How is it possible we can look good and do anything productive against our D,when we look lost against the other teams D which usually in the same league. Is our D giving them a onetime look or not even trying,so they think they're good.

He needs to call them out. They are all faster than Hines but he seemed to always get open. So stop the excuses WR's get open or give some or your "cash money" back.

This is exactly what I was telling my dad at the game the other night. They aren't physical and can't get a step because they can get jammed at the LOS. Ben is not calling them out. He is just telling it like it is.

Ben needs to STFU! It is not because they are small or anything like that.

How about this. Ben needs to throw them the ball where they can catch it. Like not 10 feet over their heads or bouncing it to them. Ben is already looking for an out on his pathetic QB play over these first 2 weeks. No sympathy here. His accuracy has always been a problem, but in the first two games he has been awful.

Folks, the circus is in town. Let the finger pointing begin. Remember, I said they were like the Titanic only the Titanic had a band, so this ship is sinking fast. Will the captain go down with the ship? Looks like he is trying to board one of the lifeboats reserved for women and children.

    It is only the beginning.....
