If Mike Wallace did this everyone would be up and arms about him being a prima donna (and most Steelers fans probably were chuckling after hearing reports that he complained he wanted the ball more after week 1 in Miami).

I don't disagree with AB at all and think that Haley's playcalling is terrible, but publicly calling our your OC on the sidelines during a game isn't the best way to go about your business. Especially when AB was supposed to be the down-to-earth, less flashy, team-first WR.

If true, and based on what I saw with Brown and Ben it probably is, it's not a good thing. Pretty inexcusable of Brown IMO.

I honestly don't think it would make much difference. The play calling is terrible but the personnel isn't much better. If Haley wants to save his job I suggest that he starts utilizing Wheaton to get them down field and Heath to keep drives alive. But who am I kidding? I still don't think the Rooney's would ax him. What do you think?

I don't see how Wheaton is the immediate answer. He'll be a good contributor down the road, but I wouldn't expect him to step in and be Sanders and Brown. Not based on this camp and preseason anyway. There's a reason the coaching staff gave him so few snaps.

I'm just saying he should use every asset. Wheaton is faster than Cotch and has better hands too. I think the reason Wheaton hasn't seen more time is because he's not familiar with the hurry up. I heard them talking about it on Cooler Talk the other night with other players and I'd say the same goes for him too. Tomlin was asked in his presser if Wheaton was part of the answer going forward and he said yes. I read on Steelers Depot that Wheaton is expected to be seeing a lot more time than Cotch here very soon. It might have even said he's gonna be starting soon. But I think we're gonna start seeing more of him and I'm fine with that because we know what we have in Cotch and I'd like to see what we have in Wheaton.

wheaton missed all the ota's and mini camp. I think that's half the trouble as per his playing time right now and being on par with the whole offense.

I like cotchery and think he does a good job. moye and wheaton though do need some more field time as we go forward.

will Johnson also needs to see the field more and get him involved with this run game and passing game.

felix and dwyer will and should carry the load until bell gets up to par.

that's a tough call. sure it may shake things up but in the right direction is the question. are we stable enough to take that chance as a team right now?

you also make other OC's that they may consider down the road nervous about taking the job if the leash is that short. even though they know the rooney's usually don't make knee jerk firings. if they should choose to do this though , we would have to promote from within just to keep some resemblance of continuity.

It was only a matter of time before we explode within. We usually see this from the Cowboys, Jets and other circus atmospheres. Hope we don't go 0-3 we really will have some issues.

I wanted Randy Fichtner as Offensvie Coordinator once they got rid of Arians. But, I think he is close to Ben and Rooney didn't want that.

Should have just left Arians here in the first place. He wasn't the problem.

I didn't want neither one. But I think they ran out of options on who was left to take the job. I think they should go outside of the organizaiton once again with someone with a more offensive minded approach to the game.

Someone that is going to get us out of the 90s approach to football. The grind it out way we are use to with Bettis, Foster, Parker, Franco is a thing of the pass. We need someone from Patriots, Broncos, Packers, Saints offensive coaching staff to get us up to par.

It amazes me how easy the Broncos and the Packers make it look. It seems they always have someone open and doesn't struggle heavily in the redzone. In three plays they cover 80 yards effortlessly. It takes us about 2 full games to cover 80 yards.

that may be but i'd like to think we want someone that is familiar to ben. would that be better then someone your qb is always butting heads with?

he knows the players we have. he knows the stregnths and weaknesses of bens game and the rest of our players.

he also turned a smaller school that doesn't get the big time recruits into a team that was in consideration on the national stage during his time. with a lot less to work with then other big programs had. I think he's got the smarts to do it.

Maybe AB needs to STFU and concentrate on making the plays that are called his way. Perfectly executed screen that was acutually blocked well and gave him room to the side line for a huge gain and maybe a TD and he cuts it back inside towards the heart of the bengals secondary for a small gain. Yeah its definitly Haleys fault.

I noticed that too. He had a perfect block to take off down the sidelines.

I don't have a problem with AB voicing his concerns, but doing it during a game on the sidelines, isn't the way to go about it.

if they keep losing we will here about more of these stories.

when you've lost 11 of 13 games its gonna start to break a team apart.

I am not going to apologize for Todd Haley. he had success in Arizona and had success (with MATT CASSEL!!!) in KC. He is a competent OC, certainly not any less of one than Arians.

But this whole thing is a disaster. I sense that the players did not like Arians being removed and have revolted in their own way and are acting (and have been acting) like sniveling little brats. The players aren't buying into Haley NOT because of Haley himself but because they don't like the change. It's that simple.

    It's a big dysfunctional mess.

It doesn't matter if they have Belicheat calling the shots with Spy Gate in full mode.
If players don't hold onto the ball Redman (as he is going into the endzone) and Paulson (at the 13 yard line). You are not going to put up many points.
There's more to blame here than just TH.
