To many wasted downs....its one thing to keep a team honest...its another to run into a wall repeatedly.

Whats the definition of insanity?...doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.

Put the ball in Bens hands...use the short yardage pass as the run....but put the ball in his hands....right now teams are just playing everything short...as they read in the paper every week about the Steelers trying to establish the run..and Haleys dink and dunk.....no reason to worry about the deep passing game after two games.

Redman should only be the short yardage bull....get him to start eating and get that weight back up....the loss in weight did not make him "faster" at least not fast enough

Felix Jones may be better in time...but not yet.

I still think Dwyer should get the bulk of carries...but I honestly and praying with all I got that LiBerty Bell is the REAL DEAL....we all better hope that he is.

Paulson is soft...and tries to hard to make the BIG PLAY vs the PLAY.

I would sign Velasco to a two year deal right now.

I am quickly becoming a Jarvis Jones fan....He just has a nose for the ball...and when he gets a year or two in an NFL weight room...he will be a monster....Heck he might be the best player on ST......My biggest concern about him is he just has one gear.....he doesn't really seem to have that last second BURST EXPLOSION SECOND GEAR...what ever you want to call it...but I am excited by him.

Please get healthy Cortez Allen....William Gay is just William Gay

This team is game speed slow....Sanders and Brown are both fast...but can't get separation.......I like what Cotch has been giving...but Wheaton and Moye need on the field more....Cotch is steady....We need explosive.....They ran a reverse to Cotch for goodness sakes....the slowest WR on the roster.

We have no speed rushers....while Jones is showing promise...he doesn't have that turn the corner ability of Harrison.....Woodley is almost pure bull rush.....Breather was knocked back off the ball way to much tonight.

Williams would get the nod over Wilson the rest of the way....need to see what he can do with the big boys.

Everyone is talking COACHING changes.....I think I would rather make a few roster changes.

OUT WHIMPER - IN REID FRAGEL Bengals PS
Whimper might be the vet....but we all ..including the coaches...are terrified he is going to end up on the field for any length of time. Fragel is a former TE...can be that blocking TE...with an actual chance to catch a pass...as well as a backup RT

OUT SHAYNE GRAHAM - IN DONTAY MOCH Cardinals PS
Moch is a strong ST player...and would give the Steelers the pure speed rusher they don't have now....Suisham is fine

OUT DAVID JOHNSON - IN REGGIE DUNN
DJ is not playing...Heath should be back soon...and Palmer and FRAGEL and even Beachum can all play the role of blocking TE
Dunn however is the speed we saw Bernard do on that TD run...untouched...flew past everyone.....add in the fact that he can run that deep route faster than Sanders and Brown...and it opens up the entire O.....plus saves Brown for return duties.

Very good assessment Hack. I've seen the fire Tomlin threads and I just can't buy into that. The roster changes would make more sense. Jones will be a monster!

Good Job Hack. I agree. We need speed in the backfield in the worst way.

With the line struggling, why didn't we see Beechum at TE? Roster changes would be better than anything the coach can do right now.

Agree, our personnel has a ton of room for improvement.

on a positive, I thought our OL played very well, with a few exceptions.

But our receiving corp (Wheaton, Cotchery, te's) have a ton to learn. Sanders can't separate on the long ball, or can't catch it when it gets there.

not sure what todo about our secondary, I can see everyone going 4-5 wr/te until we get healthy.

Yup, can't find very much to disagree with.

I don't care about "dependability" right now. I care about productivity. Give Dwyer the ball. We know he can make some splash plays.

Completely agree on Velasco. Thought he was the best man on the line last night with only a couple of days of practice.

Would it really be a stretch to say, that Jarvis Jones has already outplayed Lamarr Woodley so far? That's not to say he is better, but Jones is flashing ALOT.

We really really do need to make a couple of roster changes.

I wouldn't say he's outplayed Woodley but he's gaining ground. And he's left Worlids back in preseason.

I totally agree with everything. The question is why if they are playing us up tight don't we have any deep game and vice versa. It seems to me the short and intermediate game is there for the taking and we are forcing it deep, low percentage ,waste of down. I'm hoping bens confidence in Heath will open things up or we're in serious trouble.
