Hank and Gomez are doing this on their own so I doubt they have the DEA's whole box of tools at their disposal. Even if they did record it I'm guessing the recording is either in the vehicle or on one of them.

Recording a phone conversation these days is very easy. Put one phone on speakerphone and record with an iPhone or mini recorder, or there are many other readily available options. Also, remember that they had Jesse wired when he was meeting Walt in the last episode, so they obviously have access to some equipment.

Yet they can triangulate his location? I just watched the episode for the first time. Am I the only one who was disappointed? It's starting to seem really badly written to me. :(

If the last episode ends with Walt waking up from a dream where he was a meth-lord...I'm gonna punch a baby dolphin.

I hadn't thought about that. It was a great ending for Newhart, but yeah, I'd be ticked off if Breaking Bad ended that way.

In related news, it looks like Saul is getting a spin-off series. Sounds great to me after reading the article:

Man I just started tonight's episode and remembered this comment. If this is all the hallucinations of a person in coma like Irvine Welsh's Marabou Stork Nightmares or something similar I will hold the dolphin for you.

Good, intense episode. Things just got a WHOLE LOT worse for everyone.

One thing, which my wife pointed out and I agree with, is that Walt, thinking that nobody but Skyler was listening to him on the phone, made it sound like he offed Hank (simply as a threat). Walt is guilty of all kinds of things, but it sucks for Walt that Skyler, Walt Jr, and Marie now all believe that Walt killed Hank, and not only that but that he did it purposely, when he really did try his best to save Hank.

Consequences of becoming a monster, I guess.

I believe that also, but he could have said all that in case there was someone listining on the phone, so Skyler would not be implacated in his buissness, the funny thing is he would have gotten away with his buissnes if Jr would not have callin the police. Imo i bet Walt goes to Nova Scotia or whereever and Starts cooking again. now that 90 percent of $ is gone and he has rival ....... just a guess

That's a good point. I hadn't thought of that. Especially since he knew for sure that Walt Jr. did, in fact, call the police. Walt would be a little naive just assuming that Skyler was telling the truth about there being "no police."

I've stayed away from this thread all week, because I don't get to watch it until the weekend. I'm becoming overly critical of this show. I feel like they wrote the end and beginning of the season, and just worked their way to the middle. There just seems to be a lot of 'less than believable' moments in these last few episodes. Anyway, last week's episode was intense. It's too bad they make Marie so annoying. It feels a little wrong not feeling bad for her losing Hank.

Here's what I think is going to happen:
Walt is going to go regroup and make his arrangements to get his money to his family after he dies. I think he has the M60 so he can go get revenge on the Neo-Nazis, and to save Pinkman. I'm thinking the Ricin is either going to be for that, or going to be for his own 'poison pill'. What do you guys think?

I totally agree about not feeling bad for Marie losing Hank. I had the exact same that that we should be feeling a whole lot worse for her.

My thought is that Walt is going to go get revenge on Todd and his uncle to get his money back, and yeah, I think he's going to save Jesse. Not sure what to think about the ricin.

Getting revenge on the Neo Nazis and saving Jesse makes sense, but doesn't explain why he would be pulling an M60 from the trunk in front of his house.

He didn't pull it from the trunk. He pulled a tire iron so he could break in. At least, that's how I remember it.

I hadn't thought about that, but they didn't really bad mouth him. I guess in Walt's deluded mind he could take ti that way, but what they said was truthful. Good Guy Walt has been dead for quite some time.

Well they really didn't badmouth him, but they didnt give him any credit for the greymatter. In a earlier episode Walt was Telling
Jessie that He was the one that invented the greymatter, but had to be bought of the company for financial reasons, 5000$ was what i believe he got, then it turned into a billion dollar company. Anyway you kno it pissed Walt off for not getting any reconition for the Greymatter......... Walt just wants to be "The man" and it pisses him off when he is not treated as such... IMO

That was a great episode. Todd is one sociopathic SOB. Does anyone know if the finale will be a 2 hour episode?
