Cortez Allen ruled out for game vs Bengals

Well that sucks ankle sprain now William Gay will start ugh.

 

Looks like he may be one of "those guys".

 

He's been hurt several times in his short career already, BF. His rookie year his season ended with some kind of arm injury. He had various injuries last year (knee, etc.) that caused him to miss time, missed time in the preseason with a knee and is already missing time this season with an ankle.

I'll say it again, he may be one of "those guys" who is injury prone. He has been so far in his career.

 

Dude this is so lame. Well if any of you have Cincy's number 2 WR in fantasy at least you have an easy decision at who to start. LOL.

 

Arizona is releasing there 3rd round pick from 2012 today,... CB Jamell Fleming anyone kno anything abot him??

 

He started 3 games for arizona last year and had 23 tackles. he had no ints....I think he was a nice player in college but hasnt done much in the pros ( but i guess thats true for lots of college players)

It is frustrating that the difference makers on our team (Pouncey, Woodley, Troy, now Allen) all seem to miss significant time due to injury. You can't make a difference in sweats on the sidelines.

 

Well, this will seriouly hamper us. Gay starts outside and who plays the slot? I hope Dick Lebeau has a bag of tricks for us.

I haven't seen enough of Allen to render an opinion, NFL wise. That's the prob.
I have of Willie and it's not good. Let me apologize right now, for the Gay bashing.

 

i'd like to think it's finally time for Curtis brown to step up. it's year 3 , do something.

it's hard to rank him. we don't see enough of him. if he's still on this team he should be able to play at a high enough level as a corner instead of us having to play a safety at corner instead. ST's isn't enough to keep two corners for that reason.

Gay will be lite up like a Christmas Tree. I could not believe they signed him. The whole he knows the system crap is overrated for this guy. Losing Keenan was bad enough, then we sign Willie" Hey I get lite up, but I will check the tape and be ready for the next game" Gay. That plus Ike" I'm a little long in the tooth so I now play 20 yards off the LOS and watch as the receiver catches the ball "Taylor, were in for a long day. Lets hope that Shamarko Thomas comes in and makes some plays. I believe Curtis Brown is banged up as well. And why if ready should he not be the starter? Whole lot of pass rush better be coming. The starting of Jarvis Jones might provide some much needed grass to the QB's back. Gonna need it.

 

This is bad news for us. Gay did fine last week, but I dont like having him in the 2 spot for an extended period of time. He is only effective in the nickel. Shamarko will get the start at nickel back, as e played there last week when Allen went down. C. Brown is only on the squad for ST reasons... If you've seen him play the little he did last year and in pre season, it is pretty apparent that he cannot play the CB position at an NFL level.

 

Another prominent draft pick that Colbert has missed on?

 

I was thinking the same thing. They have drafted way too many scrubs since 2008.

so we kept cromartie-smith for ST's. Curtis brown for ST's and antwone whatever was added for ST's. yet we have no coverage DB's. what is wrong with this picture?
