Yes, that's what it means. Last I heard Vince Williams was #2 on the depth chart. WTH is going on here??
I'm gonna go play in traffic now.

According to the trib Wilson will be calling the defense and he called it when Foote went down. This goes back to my main problem with timmons. Is he not smart enough to call the defense what's going on with that.

Hahahaha numbah! I think Timmons can call it fine, but lets get the young buck ready to roll! I really have been excited with the ILB talent we have right now... Time to unleash it!

Yes numbah.. I expect the same lineup. Vince was suppose to be number 2 behind Foote.

If I lived in Pittsburgh I would have 3 bridges to choose from to jump lol

Here I only have 2 but they will due.. lol

Two should be more than enough Bman.. If done right the 1st time you won't even need the 2nd bridge.
I picked playing in traffic cuz it should take longer and be more painful..

I can't see us missing Foote too much. I could be wrong but I doubt it. I think he was a liability more than a benefit. I'm anxious to see what any of the new guys can do. Maybe someone will actually be able to stuff the run and maybe our X-fire blitzes might actually start to work.

Apparently our depth chart means squat. I have to wonder why Colbert doesn't enquire as to why Williams is being skipped over and we're playing the #3 instead. Undoubtably DL's impossibly difficult scheme has struck again. I'm really getting frustrated with this BS!

First 8 lines of article.....note the last....

The Steelers on the field Monday night vs the Bengals will look very different than the one Sunday vs the Titans.
    Maybe that’s a good thing.
Coach Mike Tomlin today spoke about the following changes to the lineup on both sides of the ball after the massacre that took place vs the Titans.
Kion Wilson will start at inside linebacker vs the Bengals, he will take the role of Larry Foote, who was placed on IR after blowing out his bicep.
Rookie Vince Williams will be the backup to Foote.

    This crap ticks me off!

You dress these guys and then don't even use them in the game! Why the hell do you have a back-up if he ismn't going to play when the starter goes down?!

Don't get me started on the "Special Teams" ACE they signed and glowed about, but didn't dress....

Myron, it's a typo, get a grip. He was listed as #2 on the depth chart before Foote got hurt, he's obviously not backing up an injured player. Depth chart doesn't mean squat, apparently they are skipping over Williams in favor of Wilson. I don't agree with them but thats what they are doing.

Actually Timmons himself said that when Foote went out he made the calls (http://www.steelers.com/video-and-a...ry-Foote/77b07665-614e-4837-a093-bd002e9d2d2e) and moving forward (barring any change) he expects he will be making the calls from here on out.

Technically yes but it's used as an expression to point out any screw ups in articles. But yes, they should proof read, journalism reporting has gone to pot though.

IMO you will see Williams on the field often. Wilson will start, but I bet Williams gets ample time as well. I just want to see either one of these guys make a play in the middle. Blitz and a sack, or even a tackle for a loss. Foote just made a stop, and it was usually 5-7 yards past the line. He wasn't great in coverage either, and the only reason he played is because DL trusted him and his experience, as I'm sure Foote would only be a backup anywhere else. Not like teams were fighting to sign him when he was booted outta Detroit.

This just illustrates what people are upset with DL about.

The talk is all about complicated Defense. That's fine and all, but you're still losing games and not generating TO's or enough Pressure!

At what point do you say screw it and put someone in that you swear is impactful and you love the energy they bring?

Take the lumps and let them learn on the fly! Other teams are having success with rookies and second year guys!

Do something different instead of grooming a guy for 3 years, playing them the last one and losing them to FA or cutting them before they see the field!
