Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Anyone know what kind of head he has on his shoulders? I assume he was calling the protections with the Titans last year?

Keep in mind we saved about 1.2 mil when we cut Dwyer.

    $715,000.

Look for this to be a one year contract with a small signing bonus. The cap count should be only $620,000 if worked that way.

I am still flabbergasted as to why we are so cap-strapped with this really bad roster. Gotta get that money ready for "Operation Rebuild - 2014".

Also, I hope the team doesn't give Pouncey a big contract, as he is ultra injury prone and not worth the bucks at this point. I'd rather have five $2 million linemen than one $10 million guy, especially at the rate we go through linemen a season.

I'll clarify my remark on Pouncey being "injury-prone"....he gets hurt a lot and is in the wrong places in the wrong times (like when DeCastro mistakes his knees for a chicken plank)

I'm happy with the signing.. It does beg the question though, why didn't we sign him instead of Cody Wallace to begin with?

He was good at georgia. I wanted us to draft him. He is not a big drop from pouncey in my opinion

they shouldn't have signed any veteran (like wallace whimper) before the season just keep the young udfa that cost a lot less, then after week one make the movement you want without guarenteed any salary

Well said...I would also like to add more power at the center position will be a good thing IMO.I for one hope he plays lights out and allows us to move Pouncy to LG.

I been saying it for years the best way to run a zone scheme is with Power at center and speed at the Guards.

I wonder if he will start this week? I don't see why a vet like him wouldn't be able to?

He's a solid p/u and I'm surprised we were able to get him. He's played all over the line in his past.
    Could be a keeper/ We'll see...

Titans Tendered him at one point I believe
