He grew up in western PA, grew up a Steeler fan hoping to someday play for the Steelers. In played high school football and played in Heinz field. He then went to the University of Pittsburgh and again played at Heinz field. He entered the NFL and bounced around till he finally landed with his team, the STEELERS, and in 2012 actually played for the Steelers in Heinz field and it was against the Browns.

He may have been cut and is out of the NFL but how many kids growing up in the Burgh ever get to play for their hometown team or how many players ever played at Heinz field while in H.S./College and the NFL Steelers.

Pretty cool............. Good Luck John in wherever your path takes you!!!

Can't help but feel for the guy. He was probably in party mode with his family on Saturday and then had his dreams shattered the next day.

I didn't know that. That's cool. And he may not be done with the NFL yet.

Maybe not even the Steelers. We're injury prone, and Guy Whimper is on this team. A lot can go wrong.
