    Too early prediction by me?! You are likely looking at your starting QB in 2027. I know that isn't something a lot of people will want to nor will like to happen. However, given how much time, effort and energy Mike McCarthy and the Front Office have put into the likes of Drew Allar and Will Howard thus far, Mason wouldn't be a horrific option with a short leash.


    Keep in mind though this is assuming that Steelers Scouts are not going to be heavily scouting the 2027 NFL QB Class. For that to not materialize, Drew and Will both have to show up and show out in practice day after day. Time will tell on that front for certain.

    There is no possible way that any NFL team would send Mason Rudolph out as their opening day starter. Unless the goal was to get the #1 draft pick in 2028.

    My prediction, Allar franchise QB, Howard our BU QB.

    That will be our QB room for the next several seasons until Howard moves on.

    Backup plan if Allar doesnt meet expectations, Manning/Rooney marriage 2028! I think that would be great for football, a storied franchise joined with the Manning family name, personally for me, I would love that. I like the Mannings.

    Of course Arch needs to raise his level of play before then.

    My thoughts exactly.


    That said, have Mason on a short leash. Mirrors the 2004 Season a bit sans Big Ben being the third string and Batch being an established vet at that point. Mason the starter then have the likes of Howard and Allar duke it out for QB 2.
