Rank the most annoying fan bases as a Pittsburgh fan

My ranking of the most annoying fan bases - across all sports not just NFL.

1. Boston - The most spoiled self entitled we;f righteous fan base. Can’t stand them.

2. Dallas - Mainly Cowboy fans. They are delusional and think their team is the greatest.

3. New York - Just can’t stand the accent and they are all like 9 year olds when they debate and try to support their teams.

4. Philadelphia - A poor man’s NY. Crybabies and whiners.

5. LA - I dislike them because they are given so much and yet they really don’t care nor do they even understand most sports. They were Taylor Swift as a fan before her time - clueless and dumb.

6. Cleveland - So delusional and so annoying. Any little success they have over the Steelers they imbellish.

7. Baltimore - They are our arch rivals so by default I hate them.

8. Cincinnati - A bunch of hicks.

9. Kansas City - Spoiled Hicks

10. Oakland - low class and criminal.

2. Uneducated in football
3. If you present logic as to why the Browns suck, be prepared for a fistfight.
4. You simply can't have an intelligent football conversation with 80% of the fan base.
5. They actually believe the Browns are bad because they are persecuted by the NFL and the refs.
6. They love and support a team that has been national laughing stock for most of their existance.
7. The city is a ****hole.

 

That is one thing about the afc north. With the exception of Pittsburgh the rest of the cities are terrible. We have no fun away games within our division.

 

Odd but true.

But I will say this, the Ravens fans I have met at home games have been very cool.

 

I feel like there is some respect between the fan bases and they both know football. You can’t say that about the Browns or Bengals.

 

Anyplace that uses the annoying tomahawk chant

 

I was at the beach and my wife and lab dog came upon a little girl and her fisherman dad

Dad kept fishing with a watchful eye while the little girl loved on the dog

Then I walked up wearing my Steelers hat and the dad in good nature yelled at the little girl

“Stay away from them, they are Steeler fans”

 

I think it comes down to what fan base you live among. For me Philly. If I never left the Burgh I’d probably would not hate any.

 

Anything Michigan. Had an ex roommate who was the most self absorbent obnoxious spoiled tight a$$ in the history of all man kind. Lived with him for about 4 months before beating the crap out of him after pushing my button one last time with yet another arrogant remark. I’ve hated Michigan everything ever since. So many people want me to visit that “beautiful” state but I still can’t erase that prick from my brain enough to do so after 30 plus years. Watching the Pens beat the Red Wings in the Stanley cup was glorious! Seeing Michigan cheating win on Saturday and he is probably still celebrating cause he would do anything for yet another victory.

Dallas Cowboy and Pats fans are the worst. Entitled Americas team fans and johnny come lately Pats fans who think they're the greatest ever even though they weren't even fans before Brady and Belicheat. And brady has to be the biggest beneficiary of the Qb protection rules - no way that guy survives the punishment Qbs took in the 70’s and 80’s.

Most annoying fan bases and most disliked franchises can be two separate things.

But for me, I tend to combine the two.

Here’s how I’d rank them:

1. Ravens fans — Their unwavering support of what I see as a thug-like culture surrounding some of the players puts them at the top of my list.

2. Patriots fans — They often act like their team is above the rules, and they can be some of the biggest whiners when things don’t go their way.

3. Eagles fans — Their reputation for being downright hostile is hard to ignore.

4. Cowboys fans — A pretty delusional bunch. Every year seems to be “our year,” regardless of what actually happens on the field.


A most comical list? That would be fun.
