There's even a post on the page 36 of this thread that says it's crazy how we passed on the hometown boy Donald.

Not only that, but there's a poster that agreed.

It's easy to get caught up in this kind of thing on the internet. Which really primes us to be in "fast" / emotion based thinking (Tomlin is an idiot and I dislike him!) instead of "slow" / evidence based thinking (wait...did we actually pass on Donald?).

What I learned here is that (1) you have a beautiful wife (nice!) and (2) you only get to see her ~ once a year (not as nice). :)

    Why have international teams?!

Move a team like Jacksonville straight to Great Britain. I would imagine Shahid Khan wouldn't mind.

Those are still opinions, but the only one I will question is the line. Only one starter from the 2005 team remained when the Steelers won it all again in 2008. The defense had more pieces still in place, but had its share of changes, including both outside linebackers.

Injuries are part of it. How do things look for the Steelers a few years back if they hadn't lost Shazier? It wasn't an injury, but what about the loss of Tuitt?

Hence the parenthesis in my post.

But teams move all the time to go get their guys in the draft. It's not hard to do, would have only been a few spots to move up. Problem is the Steelers thought he was a guy you move to ILB. Which is laughable.

the loss of Tuitt and Shazier hurts of course but we still should've beat the Jags in 2017. Remember we also lost to the jags in the reg season with Shazier so maybe it was a gameplan flaw that the coaches couldnt figure out more than anything else.

also regarding injuries Noll lost Lambert and Russell at the half of a close super bowl nine and we still won. Just an fyi.

They did a decent job retooling the line but todays team doesn't come close to that 2006 team Tomlin inherited. That team was a contender. That is a fact as far as im concerned.

Someone is actually arguing this team is as good as the 2007 team MT inherited?? That team had Ben TP Hines Ward Alan Faneca James Harrison Casey Hampton James Farrior…… to name a few :roflmao:

Who is the best player the Steelers have right now? JPJ? TJ Watt who clearly looks to be falling off a cliff? Almost 40 year old Cam Hayward? The two rosters are not even remotely comparable.

    • 2013 & 2014: The legend Dick LeBeau was calling the defense
    • 2015; Bell only played in 6 games.
    • 2016; they lost the AFCC to the Cheaters; offense with 2 TOs
    • 2017; Shazier goes to IR late in the season and the defense is sunk.
    • 2018; Bell decides to sit out.
    • 2019; beginning of the end for Roethlisberger
You can't write a better script for the reasons.

    Excuses...not reasons.

Packers had half of their defense on IR for playoff run and Super Bowl XLV... and they still won it all.

Fair enough but they don't draft guys Donald's size to play on their DL.

What I take from this is that (1) a celestial body doesn't necessarily equate to beautiful and (2) if by seeing her, you mean sex, that's about normal if they have been married for a while?:smiley1:

I don't know what to think? His ego took a jolt when he heard the fans "Fire Tomlin", his ego will continue to take a jolt as more and more players come out to say his ways were not good.

So does he want to ruin the false narrative of him being a hall of fame coach by coming back and showing the world that he was the luckiest coach in the history of the NFL to be considered HOF material?

Not true. Not a single starter on defense was out for their postseason.
