Neither do a lot of NFL Billionaires; sports ones in general for the purposes of this Boards TOS (Terms of Service).

Stephen Ross of the Miami Dolphins fits this to a tee. Unbelievable man who makes money hand over fist in entrepreneurship and other ventures like being a major player in F1 GP but a dumbass when it comes to the NFL. His record since becoming Owner is just plain abysmal. Shahid Khan also doesn't get a pass from me either.

How you nearly ruin someone with talent like Trevor Lawrence shall continue to boggle my mind lol.

Jimmy Haslam basically sent out Catherine here to be the proverbial meat for the wolves. If I am Catherine, I am getting the hell out of Cleveland the second my contract ends. To hell with the Haslams.

Not sure I understand this. It's very unprofessional no matter what the end game is.

You said that person who was speaking could have been someone off the street. Catherine isn't someone who I would call someone off the street. She is an established person.

As for your second comment, you are confusing established person with foolish decision. Never said that statement nor action makes her right nor in the right. I am merely pointing out who she is and what her prior experience was.

Trolling fans of the team she works for isn't a good look.

You need to understand your fan base. This feels kind of Bud Light-ish. Ironically, if it was the same ripped up shirt with a Browns logo, I think it would have been fine...because that kind of fits that Dawgpound type brand.

I get that it probably sucks to have that job and know that fans hate that you felt like trading away the only good thing they had to cheer for in a decade was the best path forward.

But shoving their faces in it like that was an idiotic PR move.

And presumably other people in the FO would have known about her wardrobe choice too.

So again, it was a foolish decision on her part. Catherine herself picked that outfit to wear. My issue again are the people signing off on it; the Haslams. They have the final say.

They don't give a damn. Due to this, why should she?!?! Doesn't make her right. Only validates how little the Haslams care about the Browns Fanbase.

Like most things, this is both/and not either/or.

    Not in this case.

This is called an "I can because I want to" by the Haslam's and nothing more. Leadership starts at the top. If the leader is complacent and apathetic, expect the rest to follow. Catherine is just another example of this.

You think she did nothing wrong in this situation?

I said: This is a both/and (meaning both her and the ownership) situation not an either/or (not one or the other).

You said: Not in this case. Then talked about how it was only about the Haslams.

If I misinterpreted what you were trying to say, I'm sorry. Can you explain it to me?

    Sure thing! :hi:

Quick point of order, I did not solely talk about the Haslam's during this thread. I am pointing out their lack of accountability and responsibility; two negative traits that have spread throughout the organization. That is what I meant when I said "Leadership starts at the top".

    In short?! Catherine should be and is most definitely taking necessary heat for her stunt but the Haslam's and, by extension she, don't give a damn to care. For that matter, here is another thing I did say;

If you notice, I also said that there are many in the FO who also need to wear this.

Because I think this is "both/and". And that there's plenty of fault to go around.

Indeed I noticed that statement you made. I haven't forgotten it. It needs to be remembered that, just like Catherine, the rest of the FO doesn't likely give a damn. However, you stated "who need to wear this."

Unless there is information out there reporting that Browns Front Office Members have a strict dress code policy that the Haslam's laid out, they do not need to wear it. They have the choice to.

This leads me to the conclusion. All members of the organization have the power to wear what they want. It is up to the Haslam's to decide whether they do or do not. However, as me and you have now discussed repeatedly, the Haslam's don't care for they do not feel the need to care.

As a result?! Nobody is going to much care either; leadership starting at the point being the core issue.

If she wanted to appeal to her fans, she should have been drunk with a little puke on her shirt.:smiley1:
