I want to say they blend our lite sweet with the heavy crude to reach a specific gravity, but specific gravity might be the wrong term. We do blend the two types in order to refine.

European gas prices have always been higher than ours. Which is why they frequently laugh at us when we complain about “high” gas prices

And so many small cars. So different then USA. What I found odd was how dirty a lot of their cars are. Told my wife we should open a car wash over here.

It’s kind of funny how for several years we were building and touting the benefits of smaller high mpg vehicles and then suddenly everyone needed a giant truck or suv.

Nope, just stating a fact. The War in Iran has absolutely nothing to do with American Gas Prices at the pump going up.

Oil companies are increasing the prices at the pump just because they can. Shell drills the oil, then ships it to a Shell refinery, and then it goes to a Shell Gas station to be pumped. How did the cost go up??? No Price increase needed, other than to maximize Oil profit.

    Wrong

Thanks for playing please try again later

FYI shell isnt a US company. It was founded in the early 1900’s after the merger of a UK company and a Dutch company

    Afraid to answer my question???

ANSWER THE QUESTTION!!! Shell drills the oil in the US, then ships it to a US Shell refinery, and then it goes to a US Shell Gas station to be pumped. How did the cost go up???

And, this applies to all oil that is drilled, refined, and pumped for gas in the US. Doesn't cost any more than it did before the Iran War.

I go to the Caribbean frequently

I found it best to just put gas in the vehicle and not look

For those willing to learn from a few of today’s headlines:

Oil prices rise to 6-week high after Iran and U.S. trade blows, Saudi Aramco facilities reportedly hit

NEW YORK - Oil prices rose to a six-week high on Monday as Iran vowed to strike energy infrastructure across the Middle East in response to further ‌U.S. attacks on its assets, the latest escalation in a conflict that has sharply reduced oil supply from the region.

The funny part is there are people out there that think prices will drop whenever this war ends. The truth of the matter is it will take years.
