Other than TJ a very sad group. There is a good reason we haven't won a playoff game in a decade.

It's a brutal take for sure and I think you can connect the dots that they were looking to fill a need instead of developing the entire team. It's like a plug and play draft.

When your consistently picking in late teens and early 20's odds go down, still no excuse we should have been better.

It's simply pointing out how the team has fared with it's 1st round picks lately. Any discussion of the past can be labeled as crying over spilt milk. However that 1st round record is not good. I have no issue with discussing it.

I tend to agree but the Patriots sure have done well. And it is kind of a good thing if you pick late, means you are a winning team. The Jets and Browns sure have not done well with high draft picks.

It’s been hashed and rehashed numerous times. There’s also been major changes in the front office. Lumping the Colbert era together with the Kahn era is foolish imo

I believe he was the #1 RB in the country for the 2027 recruiting period. Like men playing with boys and he was going
against a pretty good/well coached team last night. I have watched him since his sophomore year hoping Pitt could land him.
Just too much money for Pitt to land him.

I guess that is what I was trying to get across, would you rather tank or win? I would hope the Steelers would never tank. If they did, I would quit following them.

Paraphrasing the great one Noll; 'to not draft the best player available is to eventually lose at that position'.

The rub? Who decides who is the BPA?

And even Noll had some draft flubs over the years, e.g. '73, '75, '83, '85

I understand. There's not a whole lot of history to judge Khan on at this point. 2 of his first 5 1st round picks are no longer with the team. Jury is still out on Harmon. I've not heard much on Harmon lately so I'm not sure how he's doing. I hope he's the guy that can help. We'll see.

Hopefully this is mostly just the end of the Colbert era washing out.

We know that the Kahn's first pick officially didn't make it to the end of his first contract with the Steelers now. I think Troy looks better though.
