I see someone found an opportunity to pull their soapbox out for the umpteenth time

I didn't falsely accuse you of anything. I'm preemptively pointing out that I didn't start this and I'm far from the only one escalating it.

Of course, what is happening two years later doesn't change the fact that Harris was better all three years they were together, and that letting him go cost the team resources that could have been better deployed elsewhere.

Those were the arguments I made, which are undoubtedly true.

Multiple someones stepped onto their soapboxes, but only one owns space in the old man's head.

Steelers drafted a big steam roller (Najee) and then stuck him behind zone run blocking. That's smart stuff.

You included me in something I didnt start.

Harris was a first rd pick that wasnt good enough to secure a 5th yr option and who ultimately lost his job to an UDFA. You were right about nothing.

The fact that Harris has been “meh” elsewhere kinda points towards the system not mattering. He’s simply too slow. Strongly suspect the same with Johnson. Their just not dynamic enough athletes for the current NFL.

Just take a look at the RB production we have gotten since Najee left. Not saying anything good or bad toward Najee. But, just look at the RB production since he left.

No need to want to bring him back that I can find.

I was right about plenty. The Steelers felt Harris was the better back when they had both, which is why he started every game while getting more snaps and touches than Warren. They did what they thought gave them the best chance to win.

I was right that it cost them their third-round pick last year, who then turned out to be a terrible bust.

I was right that there were factors beyond who had been better at play in their decision to move on, such as the mileage on his body and the way he ran his mouth about running backs needing to get paid.

The only thing I got wrong was underestimating Gainwell, who mitigated their failed attempt to replace Harris.

So much coping to avoid that the better player is still on the team.

I wouldn't know since he had only 15 carries for 61 yards, and 3 receptions for 25 yards before he tore his Achilles. I believe thats over 4 yards a carry, and over 8 yards a reception. We shall see if he can come back from the torn Achilles, or not.
This is not in anyways a slight on Warren.
I love Warren, but I do completely agree with @Formerscribe@Formerscribe that they should have signed his 5th year option, and used their draft elsewhere, and then let him go.

Spoken like someone who can't handle the facts being against his argument. What they are now is not what they were two years ago. You know that, and you know this argument dates back to before Harris's final year as a Steeler, but you ignore those facts because they don't fit your inaccurate narrative.

Yeah Im sure you believe that too :lolol:

100s of posts by you dancing around the fact they kept the player they liked better.

I dont care about your opinion that they would have been better off keeping both, that doesnt change the fact that they kept the player that was better.

An UDFA overtook a 1st rd pick because the 1st rd pick didnt meet the level of play that a 1st rd pick warrants for getting a 5th year option.

Those are the facts that dont fit your narrative.

I'm not dancing around your opinion, which doesn't fit the facts.

Warren never overtook Harris. Harris started every game they played together. He got more snaps and more touches. Harris was the player they liked better. Warren was the one who had more tread left on the tires and less attitude.

Your argument is built on the ridiculous notion that they started Harris, gave him more snaps, and gave him more touches despite liking Warren better. That would mean they hurt their chances to win because...why exactly? Because Tomlin liked him? Because they wanted to save face? Those things went out the window when they didn't pick up his option, so the only thing that makes sense is that the Steelers believed Harris gave them the better chance to win.

The rest is you trying to win an argument you lost a long time ago.

I dont know how to break this down for you anymore than I have so you are capable of comprehending it but the Steelers obviously liked Warrens growth and felt he had over taken Harris hence why Warren is here and Harris was kicked to the curb. No one that is sane thinks teams let better players walk, especially on the cheap.

    18 games in a season
1,000 yds rushing is not like playing
    12
    Or
    16
    Games
55.5yds per game in a 18 game season
    Not very good

Steelers apparently werent very impressed by it either. Looked at Warren an UDFA and said we’re good. Bye bye.

You are arguing with the same guy
    Who thinks KFP
    Was all that
Do I think the Steelers reached and threw KFP in the fire?
    Absolutely
Do I think KFP was a potential franchise qb?
    Absolutely unequivocally no

    Also,
I honestly think Najee cooked his own goose
Some of his post game interviews with
Some of the cryptic comments he made about the team
Like I got something to say
    But
    I won’t say it
    To me not very trustworthy

I don't know how to break this down any more than I have for you, either. My argument was always that they liked Harris better when they were both here, not beyond that. If they had wanted Harris beyond that, they would have exercised his option.

While I agree that they liked Warren's growth, no, he had not taken over. If he had taken over, Harris wouldn't have started every game, gotten more snaps, and gotten more touches.

Actually thats a poor way of looking at it. Its the carries which I brought up earlier not the games.
Example: Najee only got to carry the ball 300 time once, and that was 307 times because he shared the carries so much.
For instance the Bus carried the ball 375 times in less games, and over 310 times many times in less games, or how about Emmitt Smith who had 377 carries, and many over 320 carries in a year in less games, or let's go today's game, D. Henry who had 378 carries, and many years with over 300 carries. Think about that.
You can't count games if he had way less carries anyway

Last season,4 players had 300 carries and 3 of those players had over 1500 rushing yards.McCaffrey had only over 1200 rushing yards but he had also over 900 receiving yards and he was in a depleted offense. The years that Henry had 378 carries,he had over 2000 rushing yards.Bettis was in a different era, same for Emmitt Smith.Harris would need 400 carries to have over 1500 rushing yards

Pretty simple for the people that can think.
    Average carries a season.
    Najee: 266
    Emmit Smith: 332
    Bus : 308
    Henry: 311
Yet people somehow expected Najee to have more yards than guys that had way more carries a year, and yet he still rushed for over 1000 every year here.
Was he awesome. No , but was he as bad as some try saying, hell no
