I just read a tweet from Gerry Dulac that said "The Steelers got tired of Dwyer's lack of dedication to his job and they like Felix Jones." So I guess they must have seen something in Jones while a lot of us weren't on the same page with them.

Im surprised Baxter was cut and Kion Wilson made it, Curtis Brown I don't know how he sticks around he's another William Gay except for his special teams play. Wasted 4th rd picks Ta'amu and Hawthorne. They should've kept Dwyer over Redman he came to camp in great shape maybe it was the fumbles that cost him.

Dwyer had issues last season with fumbles hell if we based cuts on penalties and lack of production from players right now... the Rooney's may as well pull the plug on the team. Much work needed for sure still early they will jel.

We already knew what we had in Dwyer and it wasn't enough to keep him and Red came into camp in great shape too. Hawthorne to the PS, he has the tools to be a good player. I don't know what to think about Ta'amu anymore.

Ta'amu is a head scratcher. They kept him with the off-field issues and I thought he played better than his competition this preseason.

YEah they did give him a 2nd chance, but he didn't step up his game and dedication. He had some nice spurts in preseason games, but overall he had some bad practices at camp. He free lances and doesn't stay in the system. He just didn't "get it" if you know what I'm saying?

Fangupo is a character guy and a hard worker. I'm glad we got him.

IF Redman doesn't stay healthy this year but DOES produce when he is will this be HIS last year too? I mean aren't Redman and Dwyer basically very close in skill sets? I mean hopefully Redman has better vision but neither of them are gonna be guys that burn people all day or at any period OF the day.

I think Red is just security right now, nothing more, very similar to Dwyer as you said. Bell was drafted to be a 3 down back, he can pick up short yardage too and Jones and LSH fit the zone better and are change of pace backs.

red lost weight the last two years. they said he was pretty quick in camp. he probably weighs less then bell. I wish we would have gotten to see him, but I guess the titans haven't either. at least not with ths blocking scheme. 2 plays to defend him they get.

I like the increased speed we put in the backfield this year. let's hope they last.

I guess for some it just doesn't pay to score a TD for the Steelers in preseason ... Dwyer and Robinson are this years examples.

    Carter over Baxter.

    Jones over Dwyer.

As far as us being concerned that players like Baxter, Arnfelt and Brown don't make it the practice squad. Do you think there is an unwritten rule among teams that they don't mess with cut players that teams want to put on their practice squads?

Lord no or Clemmons wouldn't have been snagged by the jags. The thing that stops a loy of teams is having to put them on their roster.

We could get Clemmons back (cut by Jags), if we loose J.Brown and if we don't want JD.Woods.

Never much cared for Clemmons, rather see what Brown and Woods bring to the table.

Hawthorne surprised me the most, but I guess his injury history scared them a little..... I'm sure he makes the practice squad though... this kid has the goods if he can stay out of the training room.

I would take Dontay Moch and Reid Fragel both from Cinnci....Fragel is going to be a stud...Moch more of a wild card...but he is a 3-4 OLB....and Cinnci was playing him at DE....I think if a 3-4 team take him...he not only produces...but is also a good ST guy.
