Practice squad additions announced

It's good to see Nichols is still with the team, he has been the best RB in the preseason the last two years.

 

A player with 2 years or less in the NFL make $250,000 a year if they're on the practice squad all season. A veteran with over 2 years can make up to $400,000 a year but the practice squad doesn't count as a year for their pension.

I actually feel worse about them bringing back Roberters after reading that. Maybe it's just a smokescreen, downplaying their interest.

 

This just popped up in my feed...ever wonder why people sometimes call the "practice squad" the "taxi squad"?

They made special rules regarding the "Taxi Squad' specifically for Joe Gibbs.
Gibbs stashed all kinds of talent there, he didn't use it for bubble players and he paid well.

But yes, I tend to still call it the "Taxi Squad"

 

Gibbs won 3 Super Bowls with 3 different QBs.

 

And none of them are in the HOF. Doug Williams was a journeyman QB who ended his career completing 49% of his passes and had a losing record.

 

You think if Pickett played for Gibbs back then with Riggins and Art Monk he could have been a starter on the Skins?
