I either bought too many used guitars in this price range this summer...or not enough.

I'm undecided...mostly because there was a nice jumbo that I was hoping would drop in price a bit more even though it was already priced pretty low. And one of the guitars I bought was for my daughter, so that one doesn't really count, right?

Plus, I sold a bunch of music stuff too (mostly violins my kids out grew).

I think my wife is pretty clearly on one side of this dilemma...

Glenn posts during the season. I dont think he has ever been very active here in the offseason.

I will say after years of arguing about MT with him the last couple years but especially last year even hall monitor came around.

@SteelerGlenn@SteelerGlenn is a regular poster still in hibernation

SteelerGlemm was a 4th string quarterback in 2018 (Jokingly)

I consider being on someone's ignore list... a badge of honor. It means I've won the conflict.

Tomlin was a master at conning simple-minded into believing he was getting more done with less.

The REALITY was, he was getting less done with more. He was taking a talented roster, coaching it down with his hand-picked J.V. assistants and then the media carried his water, explaining how mediocre the roster was. Tomlin was an always-on -10 to ALL players PFF ratings. It was like a video game aura that had a 50 yard radius all around him at ALL TIMEs.

The REALITY is, he failed miserable with some of the best Steelers rosters in the past 40 years. We had defenses that were in the same breath as the 1976 squad. We had a top 5 NFL QB for MOST of Tomlins stay, with a nearly always above average OL and quality WRs that did the little things well (blocking for the run game being big).

We had really good rosters that underachieved nearly every year under Tomlin...and yet he conned the simple-minded, starting with Art Rooney himself and several on this board. Would be really funny, if not so sad and frustrating.

No one, well, almost no one, thinks Tomlin is a bad human. He was obviously liked by most (not all) of the players, some of whom considered him a father-figure. Mostly he cared about being their bestus-buddy. I believe the best coaches in NFL history were NOT bestus-buddies to players. They knew they were there to push the players, practice them hard and get the best out of them as PLAYERS. What they did off the field was out of their control. Maybe that was worse for players in become respected men, but was far better for players becoming respected players.

That text to CA, hey, thats all cool and stuff, but at the end of the day, its a moment in time and doesn't mean the player is going to put in the work to rehab or be depressed for 10 months. I am 1% concerned about Tomlin's non-football time text and 99% concerned with the lack of planning, scheming, coaching and play-calling. Tomlin might be a great next-door neighbor, but he would NOT be who I'd want coaching my high school alma-mater football team.

Not exactly off topic...I got a spam recruitment email yesterday from "Mike McCarthy". So I figured they want me for the practice squad. <old fat guy emoji>
