They(Steelers)weren't looking for trades. Why would you trade top young talent for a hope of drafting top young talent.
No matter how you feel. JPJ is the best CB we had since Taylor. That's a long time ago, and I can show how many 1st round draft bust at CB have happened in that time throughout the whole NFL.
CB, and Qb are the hardest two positions to judge from college to the pros

 

I don’t believe they were actively shopping him but Omar Khan said they were open to listen to trade talks - not about him specifically but I. General so that opened the door to not just talk about Jones etc but also JPJ. I’m assuming teams didn’t ask about him or didn’t offer up anything substantial.
