Back in the day #17 was Jefferson Street Joe Gilliam who won the starting job over Bradshaw in 1974. If he could have stayed drug free he would have been the one with 4 rings and in the HOF. He was incredibly talented.

Except, these two are pretty similar - athletic, strong arms, lack accuracy, and Allar needs to prove he has the cojones in big games.

 

This is a bit myopic but at the end of the game last night when Allar’s could have had the killer instinct to win the game he threw two terrible passes

My prediction for game 1 ...... the O line will keep the offense stymied a bit and the D will play well enough for a 6-8 point win

 

that was before his knee injury right? After that injury he lost some of his athleticism in addition to not being able to read defenses. Its amazing he lasted as long as he did before being replaced Bubby

 

Yeah

Bubby was talented but he simply could not lead. He would get so exasperated with play calls, and offensive sets, he looked like a chicken with his head cut off.

 

They both have rocket arms, but I hope the kid can read defenses better than Mark "Magnum" Malone

 

JuJu Smith-Schuster broke Malone's record with a couple of 97-yard receptions, one in 2017 and another one in 2018.

I don’t see us winning to open the season. Our starters are aging and we’re just observers during preseason. They will probably come out rusty and flat. Hope I’m wrong.

 

I hope you are wrong, but I am a minority when it comes to camp cupcake.

 

Falcons look like a dumpster fire at QB. Hopefully they will make more mistakes than Steelers. But yeah, I could see Steelers starting out rusty with a lot of penalties, etc. It could get very ugly.

 

I thought he did, but I didn't want to say because I wasn't sure.

 

I don't like the camp cupcake either, but Im willing to wait , and see how it all plays out before I complain about it.
